Tips for Hiking the Grand Canyon

Whether you want to hike to the Colorado River on foot, get that perfect photo of yourself at one of the staggering rim viewpoints, or just work yourself into a good sweat, the Grand Canyon, one of the most recognizable natural features in the U.S., has a memorable journey just for you. Here are some tips to remember when you start to plan:

Don’t underestimate the elements. This is doubly important during summer or if you’re hiking for several days and camping overnight. The weather can be quite extreme, and you always want to have more water than you think you’ll need with you at all times (you can find updated drinking water site availability on the Grand Canyon’s official website).
