Doing what: Private Tour: Hanoi City Full-Day Tour including Cyclo Ride

A great tour to get an overall picture of Hanoi, the culture of its people and their views on their life and history. The guide was full of knowledge and passed it on admirably.

Good trip, knowledgeable guide but hard to understand sometimes. Cost a fortune in tips though (you don't have to pay all drivers just the cycle rider but feel you must). The mouseleum was really emotional.

all you need to see in Hanoi, great

Our guide "Dow' was great. She was very helpful, spoke good english and was very knowledgeable. Tour was very interesting and lunch was very up market and great food. highly recommended

The tour seemed to be put together without thought. With a taxi and a map I am sure I could have done this tour myself. Not worth the price paid.

A nice tour and good way to see around Hanoi. Our guide was a great guy.

Doing what: Private Tour: Hanoi City Full-Day Tour including Cyclo Ride

Although one can go around Hanoi on his own, I am really thankful that I took a tour, because to simply cross the streets in Vietnam is horrible with all the motorbikes not following traffic lights! To get a private tour is even better, because it saves a lot on the hotel pick-ups and drop-offs during rush-hour traffic. The lunch was a real treat, with so many courses, even though I am only a single traveler. The only "dampener" was the rain before my cyclo ride, but luckily it subsided, and the plastic around the cyclo was adequate. My tour guide Lan was very friendly and knowledgeable, and he helped make this tour enjoyable.

Great tour, guide speaks great english and explains all about culture etc. Cyclo ride was good but they didn't really speak enough english to explain what places were as you past them..

Was a little draining for our liking should only be a half day tour, lunch was superb, guide a little hard to understand

This was a great tour. Great guide and full of inforation. Lunch was beautiful. Cyclos- as anywhere in Vietna be aware- they have been paid in full but want extra payent. Wazs a great day and would do this tour again.

A great day with a very informative guide and great lunch very enjoyable

2 star rating: It was OK, but could have been better Review by Charles F, September 2011
Doing what: Ho Chi Minh's Hanoi Small Group Adventure Tour

I was disappointed with this tour. We hit the main sights, but the guide was pretty low energy and didn't provide much background for us. The place we stopped for lunch was indeed a local spot, but there are better local spots. Hanoi is an interesting city, I'm glad that I continued to explore on my own.

Excellent tour guide who knew the history and culture of his region. He was obviously proud of his homeland and enjoyed sharing his knowledge with me. I was the only one on the tour and felt comfortable at all times. Cyclo ride was fun.
