Oahu has long been the favorite Hawaiian Island destination spot for Spring Beakers. Drawn by the beautiful Hawaiian weather, beaches, and something of a big city feel in Honolulu, there is more than enough on Oahu to excite a young crowd looking to soak up some rays before heading back to hit the books. This year, it appears the draw was enough to lure some of the Jersey Shore collective.
Snooki and Mike “The Situation” will be at Wet ‘N’ Wild Hawaii for a two-event day at the theme park which is lining up this Saturday the 18th to be a pretty spectacular Spring Break Party. $20 at the door for this event.
If, however, you’re in the mood for a more mellow spring break, consider heading over to Turtle Bay, as its old Hawaiian charm has its draws, as does the slower pace, the typically larger surf, and proximity to Pupukea Paumalu Forest Reserve and its spectacular beach and bluff trails. This area is special to the Hawaiians as it was traditionally cared for by the kahuna, or priests of Hawaii. Take it slow here, drink a Pina Colada, and head down to watch the surfers at Pipeline and Sunset Beach. It is, after all, the stuff movies are made of.
