Doing what: Helsinki Card
the Tourist office was easy to fine and everyone spoke perfect English (good since we speak no Finnish), so getting our cards was a breeze.
The included bus tour was perfect - a nice overview of the city. Using the card when riding public transport was also easy and all the museums we visited accepted the Helsinki card without issue. All in all a good value.

Doing what: Helsinki Card
Our accommodation was a little out of Helsinki centre so we used our Helsinki card many times to get into and around the city. e enjoyed the tour by ferry to Suomenlinna Island - a high light of our visit and we probably wouldn't have gone if we didn't have our Helsinki Card.. We were fascinated by Kiasma and Ateneum both of which allowed free entry. The convenience of not having to worry about the cost of transport and having change makes the card worthwhile but we also saved more than the card cost.

Doing what: Helsinki Card
Not very useful because its not useful during Friday's. And by the way there is nothing much in Helsinki to use this card. I have used Stockholm and Copenhagen card, which were very useful in their respective cities, but buying this card, I dont recommend.

We had great value from the Helsinki card. Probably went to several museums we would not have entered. The ferry trip was very fun.

Worth the money as it was very convenient not to have to pay to go in all the museums art galleries etc.Boat trip to Sommenlina was great . City tour very good but a pity you cannot use the open top bus when the weather is good.Discount on the airport bus also useful.
Loved Helsinki. Not as expensive as expected. Kampi district much cheaper for eating and drinking.Sales were on in the shops too which was a bonus.

Doing what: Helsinki Card
Total waste of money. We bought this becaue the hop on hop off was included. But when we got off the ship at the stop and asked they said no it was not included. So we purchased hop on hop off tickets and then when we picked up our card- It was included. Everything else that they advertised to be included - was actually FREE. . This card was a complete waste of our money.

Suomenlinna is a beautiful place to spend a half day wondering around. On the ferry there, you get a fantastic view of the city from the water and get to see all the charming little cottages on the islands around the city and once there, you have plenty of beautiful, historical buildings to explore. Definitely a must see!

Doing what: Helsinki Card
The "Helsinki Card" is a great system - I visited some museums twice knowing that each visit would not cost me extra. The main problem is having to print-out a voucher and collect the card - no card to use when getting airport bus from airport to city on arrival or being able to use card first evening as "Helsinki Expert" is closed - why not post-out the card already pre-dated?

Useful, particularly if you intend on using mass transit. In contrast to Stockholm, there are less museums and sights to see.

The Helsinki Card is very worthwhile purchasing. I will buy one again on my next visit to Helsinki.

Doing what: Helsinki Card
Had a great visit to Helsinki, and the Helsinki Card was extremely handy. The tram was a particularly easy system to use, and it was great that the card covered all the trips. It was also extremely easy to redeem the voucher at the Central Train Station.

I really enjoyed visiting Helsinki. Different buildings- a mix of both old and new. Lots of different things to do here. Very expensive city, however, there are supermarkets everywhere so you can pick up cheaper food (than buying at restaurants/cafes). Public transport is excellent, however expensive too. It is worth buying a day ticket, as it pays for itself in three rides. I only used the trams, which was very good to get around. The 3T tram is very good for sightseeing.

City tour using the Helsinki Card was excellent and the ability to use the card for public transport and discounts was most convenient.

A good card in principle but it was hard to get your money's worth; especially at the time of year we went. We bought a two day card with the intention of using it to see the submarine and military museum in suomenlinna but they were both closed on the sunday we went in September. We did however use it on the ferry a couple of times and went on the audio tour which was good. Didnt use it at all on any other form of public transport though as the city is all walking distance and the tram map we had didnt have clear streets on it so we only found our tram stop as we were leaving to go to Estonia!
