The Cu Chi tunnels themselves are interesting, although our tour was not as good as it could have been. We found our tour guide knowledgeable but not easy to follow and at times he could appear quite abrasive and insulting to the larger build members of the tour group. I would have preferred more time at the tunnels rather than the random stop offs along the way and it would be nice to have more time to stop for a cup of tea.
Definitely recommend this tour for anyone wishing to check out the Cu Chi tunnels ! It was a very affordable and entertaing tour - our tour guide was very friendly, accommodating and informative. We arrived back in Ho Chi Minh city in time to attend the War Remnants Museum on our own, which is a great addition after finding out the history of the Cu Chi tunnels.
We were very happy about the service and needless to say, it was a very interesting tour. It makes me wonder how much of what I know about what really happened in Vietnam war was correct. There are always two sides to the coin, and being from the Philippines I only knew one. God rest them souls, all those who perished in that war, Americans and Vietnamese alike.
The Cu Chi tunnels are just something else and a must see if in HCM City. Our guide Chung was so chatty it was annoying! he didnt stop talking all day to the point that i can actually only remember the inane stuff he rambled on about as opposed to the informative stuff he told us about the tunnels. He definitely knew his stuff and for the time we were at Cu Chi tunnels he held our attention. What we didnt appreciate was being taken to 2 lacquer factories (1 was more than enough) and some random house where all we did was get off the bus to take a group photo and then clamber back onto the bus. The whole journey there and back he talked and talked and talked. We were not there to make friends and we did find it freaky that he wanted our email addresses and group photo. I have given this tour 4 stars not because of the guide as he did ruin it for us, but because the tunnels really are worth seeing.
This trip was very interesting and well worth doing. Our guide was really good, had a great sense of humour and was happy to share his personal experiences with us. Even if you do not want to go down the tunnels it is worth going on the tour to get a better understanding of the American War.
Cu Chi Tunnel Tour is a highly recommended tour to avail of. A place with scenic and interesting history. Be sure to try the activities that your tour guide suggests. We had lots of fun crawling through tunnels and firing in the shooting range. Truly a fun, exciting and learning experience at Cu Chi!
Very good tour guide, only 5 of us on the trip which was a good number. Would recommend this, good value for money, very interesting and a chance to go into the tunnels. Also stopped in a village on the way which added to the experience.
The trip was good, the guide was very informative. However, the small group was really not very small at all - we had 14 people in the group !
great outing that contained several surprises. Very good guide that was personal, stimulating and knowledgeable.
Thoroughly enjoyable and very interesting to understand the history surrounding the Cu Chi Tunnels. Highly recommended.
