i had a good but not spectacular day trip down to a part of the mekong delta from ho chi minh city. on arrival in ho chi minh city i tried very hard to reconfirm my day trip with the local company as stated when i booked this trip in australia but got no reply. On the day of the trip i was picked up at the correct stated time from my hotel and the trip proceded with no problems for the rest of the day. The mekong delta trip was worth a visit and i enjoyed the whole day but the local providers need to fix up their internet skills --like if a customer emails you with a question please answer by using the reply button straight away--other people on this day trip had the same unanswered problem not just me--otherwise i was happy with the day trip and viator which i have used in the past
It was a great trip...tourist guide gives us a lot of information and interesting about Vietnam on our way to Mekong. That's brilliant!
The trip to Mekong delta wasn’t perhaps the best trip I have been on, but the thing that brought it a noch up, was our guide, she was very talkative and told us a lot of things about Vietnam as a whole and from her on own personal life. what i like the best about viator is there guides. i have been on two viator trips and both had i guide that is above the rest, very helpful, always ready to answer a quistion and their english is very good.
Our guide Hong was lovely. She was the perfect guide throughout the day. She gave us enough space and time to relax to take in the amazing views of the Mekong Delta but also shared alot of information. I would recommend this tour as it is just so nice to get out of HCM City and see some of the natural environment.
The whole trip was a bucket load of experiences - very interesting at every stop
This trip was really worthwhile. There was plenty to do and see to break up the journey. Once at the Mekong it was one adventure after another. The lunch was fantastic, all freshly prepared and cooked seafood. The tour guide was very interesting and spoke very good English. A very enjoyable day
our tour guide was Gem, she was so sweet and informative throughout the whole trip. Even went the extra mile to give us recommendations to local eateries nearby our hotels. This is definitely one of the best tours one could expect!
I was dissappointed with this trip. We did not explore fish farms and exotic fruit farms. Nor did we meet locals when we explored villages. In fact when we had lunch, we shown to a table quite a way from others and left alone. We had to go looking for our guide long after we had finished eating. I certainly wouldn't recommend this tour.
This tour was OK. We enjoyed the small boat ride through the delta and the short bike ride to the boats. The coconut factory was alright too. Again, Skinny our tour guide was quite abrasive and rude to the larger members of the group and at times hard to follow. I was disappointed as I could have done exactly the same trip for a third of the price through the hotel.
This was actually my 2nd time taking this tour. I had such a great time the 1st time that I wanted to do it again when my friend visited Vietnam for his first time. Sadly, this time it was hardly a "small group" at 11 people (maybe because we went on a Saturday). The guide was kind and knowledgeable, but we didn't do as many things as the first time, and it seemed more "commercial" (like I was being sold something at each stop) instead of gaining exposure to the local culture etc. (like the first time). In also seemed much shorter. I think I would only recommend this tour if a person were to stay in Vietnam for a week or so and had a weekday with nothing else to do.
i saw the tour in my hotel at a ridiculous price so i went on the internet. viator were offering the same sort of tour at a much better price so i booked it online with them, i got instant confirmation with a phone no i could ring in Saigon. i did this and was told " yes they would be there the next morning" which they were !!. the tour itself was superb and the guide was very informative. It worked out that from the time I booked the tour, to finishing it barely 24 hrs had gone by. very professional and highly recomended.
Highly enjoyable and a must do experience to immerse yourself into life along the Meekong.
Very nice trip to the Mekong Delta. Interesting explanations by the guide on the Vietnamnese History and the current state in general. Would do it again.
The guide was very informative. We enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. The food served was fantastic !
Really enjoyable trip, nice to get out of the city and explore the surrounding area. Lots of different forms of transport and very interesting, only thing lacking was interaction with the locals, we were shown lots of places where they were trying to sell us things, but it would have been nice to find out more about how people live there. Overall very good though...
