I thought this to be the best tour in my five days in Hobart. The weather was bracing cold up there but clear vision of not only Hobart but also the distant south west wilderness.

This is worth doing, but you need to be really careful. I was in the back and going pretty slow, but the tour guide was going all out. My friend took a pretty bad fall trying to keep up with him. I think the tours guides should set a fun, fast pace to make sure everyone has a fun and SAFE trip down. I know people ride a different speeds, but several people commented on our trip that the guide should have not just gone all out for his pleasure, but kept pace for those he was guiding.

A fantastic morning. They provided all the gear needed. Expert tuition in off-roading. They were most professional and we'd do it again in a flash. You don't need to be a Tour de France cyclist to do it.

Gide did not stay close particularly when biking through traffic and bikes were not maintained .

Great crew and group! Off road bit was the best (if only there was a way to do a lot of that).
It finishes quickly and it's not strenuous at all. Would be great with they had a "tougher" alternative.

If you can ride a pushbike, you should do this tour! The ride is on road, with an optional trail section, and takes you past the Cascade Brewery, Female Factory and other historic buildings and sights. Both guys (Ben and Andy) were really friendly and full of local info and advise for further things to see and do in Tazzie, as-well-as good places to eat and carboload (amber nectar). A really great way to spend a morning - if you get the weather the views from Mount Wellington are spectacular. Go on, you know you want to!
