In 1910, the Kowloon-Canton rail line began service, shuttling passengers between Mainland China and Hong Kong. Five years later, the Clock Tower was erected at what was then the Kowloon Station, where it still stands today. The 144-foot (44-meter) tall red brick and granite structure has since become one of the city’s most recognizable landmarks, and a quite meaningful one for Mainlanders who passed through the station on the way to their new lives in Hong Kong and abroad.

Located in Tsim Sha Tsui in Kowloon, the Clock Tower is easily accessible from the Tsim Sha Tsui Promenade, Avenue of Stars and Star Ferry Pier. If you’re in the Tsim Sha Tsui area, it’s worthwhile stopping by to see one of the city’s Declared Monuments and to do some people watching, as the public area in front of the Clock Tower has turned into a popular hangout among locals.

Doing what: Hong Kong Hop-On Hop-Off City Tour

My 2 day pass Hongkong Hop On Hop Off City Tour was really amazing. I came to taste Hongkong with all of what it can offer to tourist in just 2 days (great views, sampan ride, peak tram ride and harbour tour). The complimentary is very informative. The tour itself is very organized, leaving you to decide and create your own tour by just hopping on and off on the big bus. Excellent.

Doing what: Hong Kong Hop-On Hop-Off City Tour

Took the Red Route. Great way to spend a day. The tram ride to Victoria Peak and the Sampan ride were highlights. But, you need to give your buyers specifics about how to catch the bus. We had to do a lot of work just to find out where to go and how to get there. Don't just sell us a ticket.

Doing what: Hong Kong Hop-On Hop-Off City Tour

We had an excellent experience using the Hop-On bus on our recent visit to Hong Kong in late March. It was very user-friendly, with helpful staff and excellent routes. The audio support through earphones was very helpful. The river cruise was also most enjoyable. Would recommend it to everyone...a great way to do sightseeing in a new place with full control of what you want to see and how long you want to spend at each location. We took the two-day package.
