We can really recommend this tour particularly if you dont have alot of time to spend in Hongkong.The tour guide was very informative.The sceanary going up to the Giant Buddha was amazing and the views descending by the cable cars was fantastic however we where lucky as we had a clear, sunny day.The meal at the monastery was very good.Overall a great day highly recommended.

This was the highlight of my trip to Hong Kong. Guide was excellent; informative and entertaining. Well organized with pick up and drop off at hotel. The visits to the Fishing Village, Buddha and temple were fascinating. The vegetarian lunch was good and the cable car ride was stunning.

An extremely enjoyable trip. The trip up the mountain to the Giant Buddha, the delicious vegetarian lunch, the exciting cable car ride and the boat ride through the water village were all interesting. The guide was a local and knew the island very well. His descriptions and comments made the trip very worthwhile.

Lantau Island and Giant Buddha Day Trip from Hong Kong Would recommend this tour was one of the best experiences whilst in Hong Kong. Taking the ferry over gave you more of an insight and sense of location to the area of Hong Kong's islands, the guide was very friendly and helpful. The island is very different to the hustle and bustle of Hong Kong with large green mountainous areas and pristine beaches. The vegetarian lunch was great at the monastery, I am a big meat eater so thought I would be hungry but there was so much food and all was very flavorful. The cable car topped the tour off with fantastic views and we were lucky enough to ride in the same car as the guide so had a very informative journey down the mountain!

Overall this was a great day out - you not only see the Giant Buddha but also a small fishing village, and the Cable Car ride after visiting the Giant Buddha gives magical views. Tour guides very informative.

Everything about our day tour was excellent. The guide was brilliant- Queen D. I didn't ask how to spell her name. She was fantastic with all her knowledge. Even though the day was overcast and at times very wet we were so lucky to see everything at it's very best. Just loved the fishing village. Monastry food to die for.The shops where we got on at the cable car were lovely and the cable car so great. Not one complaint from this day and I would recommend it above all other tours I did. The Buddha is just magnificent, inside and out. I feel priveleged to have had this experiance. Thankyou.

What a fabulous day !! Our tour guide was excellent and the Buddha is amazing as was the Po Lin Monastry and cable car ride. Lunch was delicious. Overall excellent value for money and a great day out.

I found the whole Lantau Island tour a great experience from the Fishing Village to the Giant Buddha,the lunch at the Monastary was delicious,the Guide was very informative,full marks to a wonderful trip

The weather unfortunately was not good and we couldn't see the Giant Buddha, however the tour guide was very interesting and professional and so made the trip very good. The lunch was excellent. Very enjoyable day

This trip is well worth the cost and gives a great experience. The Tai-o fishing village is well worth seeing & offers a glimpse of traditional living as it used to be. The vegetarian lunch at the Big Buddha is excellent and the 25 minute cable car ride at the end gives you many photo opportunities. They also take your photo as you approach the end so make sure you are facing forward if you want to purchase that shot. Again the guide was good and very informative. Make sure the weather is good before you go. The cable car will not run if the wind is too strong and you need a clear day for photos.

Excellent tour guide who made the trip both interesting and fun for all participants. He was knowledgable, passionate and took the time to explain any and all questions. The tour was prompt, followed the schedule and provided time for touring a bit on own. The drive to the Buddha was spectacular but the ride on the cable car was worth the price alone! Very good lunch and the entire trip beyond my expectations. Highly recommended!

The trip was great! Got to see lots, the Buddha was great to see, the food at the temple was amazing! Needed more time at the Buddha, but still an amazing trip and good value. The guide was great fun as well, very well educated.
