Excellent tour, great guide, beautiful scenery... A whole other side to HK. Highly recommended

A must for anyone visiting Hong Kong who wants to experience a little bit of the People's Republic of China. Fascinating tour!!!!

Good trip, but very long day. Held up over and hour at Chinese border with visa problems. Long coach ride to canton, but overall trip well worth it. Guide was very knowledgeable.

Doing what: Kowloon and New Territories Tour

My husband wished to go to the old boarder to see the changes, so this was good for us, also the temple visit, but not long enough spent here, could have missed the market.

good comprehensive introduction to Guangzhou, China

Overall a tour worth the trip. If you want to get a flavor of China in one day, this tour provides it. Well organized, kept to a schedule and the guide was great.
I suspect the first stop is a requirement by the tourism authority. It is basically a sales room for jade products with some Chinese artifacts in the entry room. It is by no means a museum or great representation of the Terra Cottta warriors - just a few actual examples of them. You will spend 10 minutes in the museum and another 50 minutes in the jade shop.
The Pandas are in a zoo - not in a "safari park". If you have seen pandas before, you may be disappointed. You enter the zoo, run to the Pandas, spend 10 minutes taking some pictures then off to the next stop.
The walk thru the markets and seeing the surrounding areas were the highlights for us. It was over the Easter holidays, so schools were closed, so we did not see the kindergarten.
Still, with all that said above, we felt it was worthwhile. We were in mainland China for the day. Was able to see the country side and markets. Lunch was in a "famous old restaurant",but has seen better days and is clearly set up for tourists. Food and service was good tho.
The day was well organized and the guide extremely helpful and friendly.
We were 2 adults with one 12 year old child. She enjoyed it as well. Westerners stick out. People are very friendly and some curious enough to try their English.

Doing what: New Territories of Hong Kong 'The Land Between' Tour

This trip was interesting, although the guide was a little hard to understand. One of the stops was just on the roadside, and we did not stop at the racecourse, even though it was not a race day. Not quite as advertised, but the lunch was very good.

great trip saw lots enjoyed the pandas and seeing the old part of Canton

My husband and I both enjoyed the excursion to Mainland China! Got to experience so much all in just one day! We loved seeing the Terra Cotta figures, the pandas, the little children at the school. Everything was just great!

Overall the tour was good and as described on the website. However, be aware of a scam where a small plate with your photo on it (which was taken by the tour photgrapher) will be sold to you at the end of the tour on the bus ride back to train station. The photgrapher is really pushy during the tour about taking your photo and now I see why. In our case, if they don't have a chance to take a photo of you during the tour they will definitely take a photo of you at the lunch table. The plate costs 150 Yuan ($25USD). Upon my return back home I thought that the photo was heated onto the plate only to find out that the photo was cut out and glued onto the plate so I can't even use it without the picture coming off! So my advice if you don't want to feel the pressure to buy anything just don't have any photo taken by their tour photographer. If you do get your photo taken, don't feel guilty if you don't purchase their plate as you're not actually wasting a plate because the photo can easily be removed and replaced with another.

wonderful experience, good value, friendly and informative guides.

Our guide was great and very informative. Enjoyed the temple stop but found the others disappointing. I was picturing a cute little fishing village, not a fish farm that we stopped to look at from the shore. There was no view from the stop on the mountain, which our guide told us was normal, and the waterfall was very, very small. If you have time to kill and want a day out of the city you might consider it, but go knowing the temple is the only really interesting stop.

Doing what: Guangzhou (Canton) China Day Trip from Hong Kong

Michelle the tour guide on this tour was very friendly, helpful and caring. She was interested in her job and is a credit to the company who who employs her.

Excellent one day snapshot of mainland China, conducted by expereinced guides, with a sound command of the English language.

Extremely interesting places visited, utilizing ferry, bus and train.

A very long day, and possibly too many activities included.

A long , busy , and really fun and interesting day. Alex the guide was a real character, and the intinerary was an excellent mix. Be prepared to do some walking, and lots of looking. This is real urban China you see. If you want plastic, easy, and luxury don't go.
