3 Days in Ibiza: Suggested Itineraries
By Viator, March 2012
Go ahead, head to the beach. Wake up early (which isn’t early at all considering on the island the clubs go until sunrise), and set up shop at one of the many beaches on the island. For those comfortable baring it all, there are nudist beaches to enjoy. If that’s not in the cards, don’t worry. Keeping the suit on is fine, too. After an afternoon sunning and dipping the toes into the crystal clear water of the Mediterranean, head out to a late dinner in Old Ibiza and then muster that energy and head out for the night. Ibiza didn’t earn the title of the “world’s party capital” for nothing. With seven major clubs bringing in world famous DJs, it’s hard to go wrong in terms of nightlife entertainment.
For those who partied until the sun rose, today is all about relaxation. Start the day off easy with a coffee in Old Ibiza and then wander through the quaint streets, browsing shops and getting some fresh air. Check out the castle and cemetery (Puig des Molins). If you’re up for it, rent a bike or moped and head out and about, exploring everything the island has to offer in terms of natural beauty. Stop at Ses Salinas to take in this fragile ecosystem and find the perfect cove for a picnic. At night, head to the infamous Café del Mar to watch the sun set. Then, before bed, stroll back through Old Town to catch a lively pre-club crowd under the night sky.
Get active. Ibiza is a water-lover’s paradise. Rent a snorkel and dunk yourself in the clear waters to witness the beauty of the sea. There’s also paragliding, wind surfing, water skiing and other sports to get you out and about and enjoying all the island has to offer. Then, grab a ferry and head to Fromentera. This tiny island is a nice break from Ibiza. Here, the beaches are some of the best on the Mediterranean.
