The Iceland Airwaves Music Festival
Ever year since 1999, the Iceland Airwaves festival has taken over Reykjavik with live bands, parties, art shows and thousands of visitors who come to hear some of the best international and up-and-coming local acts. The event is held over five days in late October/early November and takes places at venues around the city, including the Harpa concert hall, the Reykjavik Art Museum and several bars and nightclubs.

Iceland Airwaves is the country’s biggest party, and it grows each year as more music lovers discover that it’s one of the most unique festivals in the world. It may be the only place you can party all night listening to great bands from around the world while spending your days exploring hot springs, lava fields, volcanoes, black sand beaches, massive waterfalls and more.
