An ideal spot to catch your breath and recover from the heat that plagues much of India, the town of Darjeeling has a lot to offer trekkers and travelers new to the country and residents of the region looking to beat the sweltering summers. It is also an ideal jumping-off point from which to adventure into Sikkim.
