I had an absolutely lovely time on this trip. The weather was cooperating (only rained for about 5 minutes), we had a great driver, Keith, and the scenery was absolutely FANTASTIC. On Skye, I sat awestruck and teary-eyed most of the time, it was just so beautiful. We had booked the B and B accommodation and all of them were great. Close to the town centre, great hosts and spacious rooms.

There was a good mix of activities on this tour - castles, gardens, scenery, whiskey and the like. Keith talked a lot about Scottish history as we were driving along, but not too much. He also mixed it up with some great Scottish music - not just bagpipes. For me, time was never quite enough on any of the places where we stopped - I would have liked more time to both soak up the information, listen to audio guides and take (lots of!) pictures. At the same time I wouldn't have liked to miss any of the places we stopped at to have more time somewhere else, so it all comes out okay in the end. And I guess that just means that I have to come back later...=)

I highly recommend this tour!

The highlight of our trip to Scotalnd. Highly recommended!! Our guide was young, energetic and very knowledgable. He went out of his way to make sure we saw the sights and even took a few detours for us. The small coach was nice as we could get to places the big buses couldn't and our group was like a family when we were done. He made sure he know all our names, where we came from and what we expected from the tour.

Our Highlands tour was fabulous. Tour guide Carole was intelligent, knowledgeable, funny, and an excellent driver. The tour allowed us to visit the most beautiful and/or meaningful sites in the Highlands. The bed and breakfasts were all friendly. For some travelers, the pace might be a little tiring, since there were so many places to see, but the trade-off--a more relaxing, leisurely tour--would have meant one could not have seen or done as much. One suggestion is to travel as light as possible, since luggage is packed and unpacked from the coach nearly every day. Nothing can beat the Highlands of Scotland, and this tour is an excellent way to visit the area, especially for those who don't wish to drive.

Was a fantastic five days! Our driver/guide Chris was the best guide I've had from many tours, with a dearth of knowledge and humour to keep us all entertained for the entire trip. Especially loved the well timed music! Saw a great selection of Scottish sights on this trip, and the B and Bs were comfortable, pleasant, and well located in all cases.

This tour exceeded its publicity. We saw all that was mentioned and then more! Our exceptional guide, Stevie, had all history plus amusing anecdotal stories for us. It was absolutely the best time I had in all of Europe. Thanks Stevie and my fellow travellers Love you all! Will never forget these five days.

Great experience! Stunning landscapes, good service in B and Bs, fun and witty guide! However, not always enough time for visiting places of interest.

The highlands tour is definitely worth doing whilst in Scotland. We loved all the places we visited, and our guide Colin was very passionate about the Scottish history that the whole bus was very absorbed in all his stories. The steam train was my favourite and I would have liked to stay another night on the Isle of Sky as the weather was not great and only cleared up when we were leaving. Would also recommend spending a little extra on the hotels as they all had great locations, very clean and comfortable. Majority of the tours are 'extra's' so you can pick and choose. Ask your guide to take you to the Eileen Donan castle - this was one of the best castle's on the tour.

My wife and I loved Scotland! The trip was very well organized and the stops interesting. The B and B's were more pleasant than a regular hotel, particularly our stay in Oban. The only downside that I could mention, is that there was not enough time at most of the stops for my wife and I to take it all in. Forty-five minutes seems to be the average preferred time for most people, but if you really like to take your time with the history, you will only have about a third of the time you'd like. In spite of that, our guide, Carole, was stellar (she's a whole extra star all by herself). She should get a bonus and a promotion this year just for being so brilliant.

The tour was fabulous and the guide was super. The guide was so knowledgeable about the area that he was able to make changes to the itinerary when we ran into bad weather. My only problem with the tour was the B and B accommodations. The beds and bathrooms were horrible. My brother has a B and B in England. True, his is a 5 star, but I was not expecting what I received as a 3 star accommodation. I visited my brother after my Scotland trip. He tells me that the ratings really START at 3 star. There are none/few 1 or 2 star B and B's.

The scenery is definitely 5-star.
Three drawbacks about the tour: 1. the accommodation for one person is way tooooo expensive 2. Not many opportunities to actually go around or hike even a little bit on the highlands. 3. The last two days' plan is a bit loose and it seems that it's possible to put them into 4 days...
Other things: 1. First morning, the reception gave me the wrong bus number and I got on another tour bus because of that. Really unprofessional. 2. No one mentioned about the audio guide at all at the reception. 3. Some printed materials would be very helpful.

The trip was nice. The driver/guide is also great. he only short fall was, we booked for hotel accommodation, yet, the first night hotel was a B and B, not hotel. (Other couples in our group stayed in a real hotel.) After we complained to the driver/guide. the following 3 nights' hotel were fine.
