Possibly the grandest and most awe-inspiring natural site in the whole of Israel, the Makhtesh Ramon is a giant geological feature at the peak of Mount Negev roughly 50 miles south of Beersheba near the tiny settlement of Mitzpe Ramon.

makhtesh ramon carter is a great place to go.if you like rappeling and climbing call acteva by josef and dekel.they are so good.you can see on their website acteva.co.il .you can see picture there.it is realy nice,and you can cook at the end of the day on the poyka pot ,hot pizza or barbecue.the place is nice and worm ,the view is one of the nicest.great place to rappel down.you can e mail them at actteva@gmail.com and look what they realy do...you will love them..
