Doing what: 8-Day Best of Turkey Tour from Istanbul: Pamukkale, Bursa, Troy, Gallipoli, Ephesus
Outstanding trip. Our tour guide Murat and driver Mustaffa were very nice people. lots of fun and very friendly. The tour was coordinated very well. The only only slight draw back was the quality of the over night stay (3rd night} at the Grand Onder Hotel in Kusadasi. Overall this was a GREAT and ENJOYABLE trip.

Excellent tour in all respects. Our guide, Can, was very knowledgeable. Interesting and varied. Our 12- and 10-year old children enjoyed it too. Food good throughout.

This was a well organized tourit was an eye opener for us seeing the battle grounds of Gallipoli
The only thing was oin the second day we had to wait in Cannakale till 6pm to return to istanbul It would have been better to have left earlier after the Troy excursion.

Doing what: 2-Day Troy and Gallipoli Tour from Istanbul
This is a superbly organised trip, which includes the 4 hour bus trips there and back, meals, overnight accomodation in a top-class hotel, guided tours of all of the key Gallipoli sites, and the excavations at Troy, and ferry tickes to and from Cannakale. It seemed particularly good value given the quality of the inclusions. The guide, Murat Deniz, displayed great knowledge of the subject material and interpreted it with great wit and charm. A great thing abot this tour is that it is well planned - there are plenty of rest stops on the way to and from Istanbul, and just the right amount of time at each stop do to your own exploring. I would recommend this tour to anyone wanting to see Gallipoli in the summer months. Even if you are not interested in Troy, I would still suggest staying overnight and returning the next day, as 8 hous on a bus is too much in one day. The overnight stay is in Cannakale on the asian side of the Dardanelles, and that is a most attractive city with plenty of sights and attractions to justify staying there a day.

Doing what: Gallipoli Day Trip from Istanbul
As an Australian, this tour is a must. The whole area is steeped in history and emotion and the guide that we had was so knowledgeable and so interesting - he made the day. It is a long trip from Istanbul but it is definitely worth it. Lunch was really good.

Doing what: Gallipoli Day Trip from Istanbul
It was a hot Wednesday, an early day that started with pick up at 6:45am. A long ride on a mini van where I could catch up on some sleep but also taking the opportunity to overlook the suburbs and countryside of Istanbul. Overall even though half of the day was taken up by getting there and back the 5-6 hours that was the tour there was educational and memorable with a passionate Turkish tour guide . Being able to learn and see it through the eyes of the countless soldiers who fought tirelessly and the number that lost their lives seem to outweigh the amount that survived. Best to do this day tour and also have another day available for Troy. I know I will be going back for that. Most cemeteries and memorials were situated by the beach and is quite peaceful where people would go swim. The lunch provided at a restaurant in Maydas (situated by the ocean) was tasty.

Doing what: Gallipoli Day Trip from Istanbul
Absolutely fantastic excursion and was definitely one of the highlights of my trip. Our tour guide was brilliant and very informative. It's a very emotional experience to be there and hear about the many things that happened and to see the memorial and see the trenches where our Aussie Diggers fought and I am very glad I experienced it - my dad fought in the war so I am sure he would have been proud to know that I visited there.
