Amalfi Coast

Nice day trip from Rome. Good introduction to Amalfi, Positano, and Pompeii. Traveling in small vans with up to only 8 passengers made the road trip more comfortable and pleasant than with a large group/ bus.

Fantastic Tour. We had a great group of people and stopped at a wonderful restaurant in Positano. Tour guide at Pompeii was third generation tour guide for the area so knew his history well. Rosanna our tour guide was extremely helpful and fun. We drove around the Amalfi coast - our driver Maurizio was an expert driver - THE only driver you would wish to have on that skinny winding road!! Weather wasnt the best but did not spoil the day. If you have limited time in Italy this tour is a must.

The Amalfi Coast is beautiful and definitely worth seeing. The roads around the coast are treacherous - narrow and curvy. I was certainly glad that I wasn't driving. Our tour guide was an experienced driver and knew the area well. The scenery was outstanding and Amalfi and Positano were fun to explore. The trip to Pompeii was great and our tour guide at Pompeii was very knowledgeable. It is a long day, you get picked up at your hotel early and return late - but it is a great way to see the Amalfi Coast and Pompeii in one day. The day was planned well. We traveled in a mini-van and there were only 9 of us including the driver. It was a great day and we are so glad we took the day trip.

We were met on time from the ship, driver very good. Stopped at places on the way for photos. Took us to a furniture factory before arriving in Sorrento which we did not expect, and took out valuable time from the rest of the day. Had 1 hour I Sorrento then drove up the Amalfi Coast with stops for photos on the way. Stopped for lunch where we did not have a choice, would have been nice to have some free time in Positano and have lunch there. Stopped again in Amalfi and only had 45 mins, then a very tight deadline to get back to the ship. The excursion was great, but would do it differently next time.

Best day of our trip to Italy! Juan was a great guide. We were lucky to have a good group. All the guests talked and enjoyed traveling together. The drive up the Amalfi coast was beautiful and lunch in Positano was a wonderful experience. Pompeii was an experience. There were 2 people on the trip that could not do the walking in Pompeii. They were elderly with health issues and were upset that they could not physically do the tour. Perhaps it should be noted that this is a tough tour for anyone with physical limitations. Upon getting back to Rome, Juan pointed out a resturant near our hotel that was absolutly the best meal we had in Rome. Just a perfect day!

I am very impressed abaout my last tour Pompeii and
Amalfi, the view and the scenery were fantiastic.

Our driver Max was a safe driver and Rosana the tour guide
also very thourough knowledge explaining along the way.

We are very satisfied except the mother nature was not cooperating,
dense fog and rain

This was such a great day trip. Our driver/guide certainly knew his job and he treated us to a wonderful day on the beautiful Amalfi Coast. The trip to Pompeii was a highlight and the guide there gave us such an insight to life (and death) in Pompeii and we came away so impressed with his knowledge and humour. It really made the tour to have him telling us the story. It is if Pompeii came alive in our minds. Something that would not have happened had we walked it on our own

Although this was a long trip the sights were definitely worth it. What can you say about Amalfi but beautiful. Just loved it and the lemon candy and ice cream were delicious. You have to try it. The road along the Amalfi coast was just crazy and I really commend our driver for being accident free. We also enjoyed our time in Pompeii and our local guide there was excellent. He was the highlight of the whole trip.

The Amalfi Coast was better than I imagined. Our driver then took us to a restaurant that had incredible views and quality food. All four of us were very satisfied.

We were picked up on schedule at our Rome hotel and driven to Pompeii with a short stop in route. Our guide at Pompeii was knowledgable and personable. The two-hour tour included was appropriate for us. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour of the Amalfi Coast with stops in Positano (lunch) and Amalfi. Although it was a long day, the entire tour was excellent, and we highly recommend it.
