There is nothing like an authentic Turkish bath to kneed out your knots and give you that deep clean feeling. There are over twenty Turkish Bath Houses (Hamams) in Izmir, many of them set in exquisite old buildings with domed interiors, marble finishing and decorative tiles.
Your experience begins in the warm room, which prepares you for lying on the boiling hot tiles in the hot room. After this, you’ll receive a full body wash (from masseurs with mitts that have incredible scouring properties!), a shower, a good soaping and a massage. After this you’ll be squeaky clean, glowing and relaxed. Bathers then retire to a cool room to rest and drink apple tea. You should allow plenty of time in order to make the most of your experience.

Doing what: Private Tour: Ephesus and St. Mary's House
Friendly driver. Very knowledgable and open guide. Both were flexible and worked to make certain that we were able to see all of the highlights in a very short period of time. Of course, there was the obligatory lunch (which was excellant) coupled with a factory "tour" and sales pitch. (Rugs and jewelry.)
