Doing what: City of David and Underground Jerusalem Day Tour
The guide was very knowledgable. He showed the two students and myself unique points of view, and gave us time to ask questions.

Doing what: Jerusalem to Tel Aviv Ben Gurion Airport Private Departure Transfer
Once we found our driver it was smooth sailing from there. Our driver was very accommodating and gave his card in case in we needed him for anything else. We used our driver to take us to a couple place in one day which was very nice - like having your own driver. Recommend

Doing what: Jerusalem Half Day Tour: Dome of the Rock and Western Wall
An excellent orientation tour. Spoiled a bit because of a booking issue. The tour company questioned the booking despite quoting the voucher number. Used up all my phone credit trying to resolve the matter.

Doing what: Masada and the Dead Sea Day Trip from Jerusalem
In principle the trip was very good as was the guide and driver.and collection times. But, the masada part wasn't very thorough and we had a disaster at the Dead Sea as they had failed to explain to us that rubber soled shoes were essential in view of the very stony beach they had taken us to.
That made barefoot walking on such stones, being very hot, extremely painful and under water even more so.
Even though they pick you up from your hotel, they don't necessarily return you to it.

Doing what: Nazareth, Tiberias and the Sea of Galilee Day Trip from Jerusalem
This tour is an extensive journey to many wondeful and intersting sites in northern Isreal. Be prepared to pay unreasonable prices for lunch. The restaurant is selected by the tour guide and several people complained about the prices.

Doing what: Masada and the Dead Sea Day Trip from Jerusalem
This trip was worth the money. You get to spend enough time in Masada and at the Dead Sea and even driving there is really inyteresting. Biggest minus was that you do not stop at Jericho (Palestine), if this was included it would be perfect!

Doing what: Little Town of Bethlehem Half Day Trip from Jerusalem
The trip to Bethlehem was okay. It was only a half day, so by definition it was rushed. It was a bit difficult because the Israeli guide could not go with us through the wall into the West Bank, and we had to meet the Palestinian guide on the other side. It all went smoothly, but it added a bit of stress to the day. They guide got us into the grotto in the Church of the Nativity by avoiding the long line. In the end, the tour was not great (no tour is), but we did get to see the highlights.

Doing what: Masada and the Dead Sea Day Trip from Jerusalem
I really enjoyed this trip. It was a long day because Masada is a distance from Jerusalem, but it gave us a good chance to see the country. Masada itself is pretty well preserved, and you can even see the Roman forts of the army that besieged the plateau. It was much larger that I was expecting, and much higher! Going up in the cable car is quick, but it is a long way down. We got a long stop at the Dead Sea and we had plenty of time to swim and/or cover ourselves in the mud. This tour had the usual problems tours have (the must stop at the tourist shop), but overall, we had plenty of time to see what I wanted to see.

Doing what: Nazareth, Tiberias and the Sea of Galilee Day Trip from Jerusalem
This trip was disappointing. There was a lot of waiting around and confusion just to get to Nazareth. What we're not told in the description is that the tour actually leaves from Tel Aviv. Those participants from Jerusalem are taken to a central location in Jerusalem to be then transported to Tel Aviv where we left on the actual tour. But the driver didn't speak English, so he couldn't really tell us what was going on. It was a very long day because of the extra 2 hours just getting to Tel Aviv (and also extra 2 hours on the way back to Jerusalem) and then our first stop was a tourist shop. I would rather have gone directly to the site and done the tourist shop later. We only got to see the Sea of Galilee from the restaurant, and from the bus. The visit to Capernaum was the only real place that there was much to see. And the visit to Yardenit, the Israeli built baptism center (to make up for the fact that you can't get to where Jesus was actually baptized since it is in Jordan) was terrible. This was tourist trap at its worst.

Doing what: Jerusalem from Tel Aviv Ben Gurion Airport Private Arrival Transfer
We prepaid for a driver from Tel Aviv airport to Jerusalem. The driver was not waiting for us at our arrival. The company did not contact our cell phone. Eventually, we reached the company and were advised to expect a driver in 15 minutes. It was an hour before a driver showed up and took us to Jerusalem. He said the scheduled driver's car had broken down, and he, the replacement, was delayed by security procedures. Our drive to Jerusalem was uneventful after that. We have no criticism of the driver, but the company was not well organized to deliver the timely and professional service we had contracted for and had prepaid at Viator's premium rates. We would have done better to get a taxi on the spot at the airport.

Doing what: Masada and the Dead Sea Day Trip from Jerusalem
Wonderful, wonderful guide!! Haya (sp?) was so informative! Great sense of humor! ! Loved the tour of Masada - perfect time of the year to be there. Swimming at the Dead Sea location was crowded and not as clean as other parts I've been too and would have liked. Beautiful day - education, fun and sun!
