What a great family trip. We set off in a brand new boat. We saw orcas in the harbor and hump backs right away. We even saw a hump back breaching. There were plenty of eagles and seals. The captain and guide were very knowledgeable. It was a great trip for the entire family (our kids are 5 and 8). I would highly recommend it. Viator also had the best price, hands down!

We had an excellent time.Both of our boat tour guides were excellent, and we saw a lot of whales. It was awsome, probably one of the highlights of our trip.

An excellent trip. Very comfortable and speedy boat, and an excellent and knowledgeable guide.Large distance travelled to find the current position of humpback whales, but a bonus on this trip was that we also ended up surrounded by a pod of Orca whales. A most worth while trip to the glacier with enough time to visit the various viewpoints and the Visitors Center/ Museum.. Excellent value for money.

The whale watching excursion was outstanding. We saw many whales and the crew was very friendly. Unfortunately our cruise came in three hours late and we never made it to the glacier.

We booked our Whale Watching and Mendenhall Glacier Tour through Viator who chose Dolphin Tours and we were extremely pleased with the entire experience from making the booking to completing the tour. The weather was perfect, calm seas, blue skies and warm enough for shorts. The drive to the dock gave our driver a chance to give us some information on Juneau which was appreciated. On board the Jet Boat our young naturalist advised us that both he and our Captain were from Juneau before giving us a thorough and reassuring safety briefing, it was obvious that they really enjoyed what they were doing, and why not? It would be hard to become jaded in these beautiful surroundings. After a short ride we got the call "There she blows!" except it was "There they blow!". We saw lots of whales, up close and personal, before returning to the dock. It would have been a perfect day had it ended then but the encore was still to come! Mendenhall Glacier awaited us, we took the walk out to the Falls, a must do. Our driver back to our Ship was a real character who kept us laughing while passing on more interesting and useful information. This was one of those occasions which we all agreed will always be a cherished memory, with lots of photographic evidence to help us prove how close we came to these magnificent mammals in there natural habitat

It's hard to know where to begin. If you love glaciers, mountains, hiking, or want to try ice climbing for the first time this is THE trip to do in Juneau. Our guides, Travis and Connor, are extremely charismatic, bright and knowledgeable individuals who made my first glacier trek and ice climb the trip of a life time. I seriously had one of the best times of my life, I was grinning like an idiot when they took us into glacier caves and had us ascend a vertical wall of ice. Everybody tried it and got to the top. Bring a GoPro if you've got one or have someone film you from the bottom. This trip alone has inspired me to get into more technical mountaineering. I do a lot of backpacking/day hiking in my spare time and this is a good way to cross into the more technical aspects of mountaineering. All the while you are trekking on top of a glacier in Alaska. I had most of the gear prior to the trip but they provided quality technical gear. Petzyl, Black Diamond, Mountain Hardwear. This was the highlight of my trip!!

The whole excursion was great and everyone was very helpful and informative. The Glacier Flight was breath taking. Flying in a 7 passenger plane right over the glaciers was amazing. The ONLY suggestion I could have would be that the pilot talked to us more about what we were seeing.
Captain Kevin and the Whale-watching couldn't be better. Kevin was very knowledgeable and entertaining. He found 7 whales. It was also very nice being on a small boat with just a few people.

We were very pleased with this "triple tour." Wish we had had more time at the Mendenhall Glacier - there was so much to see! The whale watching was outstanding - saw two pods of Orca whales plus eagles and sea lions. The salmon bake was delicious. All staff involved in each area of the tour were great. We had a wonderful time and highly recommend this tour.

El tour fue buenisimo, de primera calidad todo, visitar ballenas fue lo mejor (aunque depende si hay o no ballenas), alcanzamos a ver algunas, el vuelo en avioneta tambien excelente, los guias nos trataron muy amablemente y sobre todo mucho mas barato que el costo que me dieron en el crucero que tome, y por parte de viator muy atentos todo el tiempo.

was terrific seen three whales in all and some other wildlife .we were on a smaller boat with only another couple of people so it was lovely not to have to push for position for pics .had brilliant weather the sun was out and the water was like glass.
