This was a great value shore excursion compared to onboard prices! The reps at Juneau dockside were most helpful and arranged for us to go on an earlier trip than we booked. Driver on bus taking us to the boat was very friendly and informative also. The trip itself was all we had hoped for, comfortable viewing of numerous whales and good binoculars supplied for everyone. We were a group of 17, small enough for everyone to have a great view inside and outside. The guide was excellent with information of the wildlife and beautiful surroundings. Superb glaciers can be seen from this trip in the distance.It was useful having 17 pairs of eyes spotting the whales. We would very strongly recommend this trip, you are guaranteed whale sightings and your return onboard in time for sailing. SUPERB

Absolutely fabulous! Our captain, Ben, and his brother were loads of fun and really went the extra effort to see as many whales as possible. Mendenhall Glacier was very fascinating. I highly recommend this tour.

Great fun. A perfect excursion for all ages and much cheaper than the cruise ship, plus we had a small group never possible with the cruise excursions.

This was a late trip as the ship didn't arrive in Juneau until mid-afternoon. Wasn't too sure where to meet the guide but was directed to him after talking with another guide. The time on the boat was good but very cold and many whales were spotted but unfortunatley none came very close to our boat.It was a good expericence. Loved the Mendenahall Glacier and was amazed at the size of it. Enjoyed doing our own thing for a period of time and taking some lovely pictures. All in all it also was a good tour.

Saw a humpback and some Orcas. Very knowledgable guide, and very helpful bus driver. Was getting a little dark at the Mendenhall Glacier and would have been nice to have spent more time there. A little short of time to do both perhaps.

Awesome!. The number of whales we saw was phenomena though the distance we were from them was disappointingl! No one's fault. Our captain made every effort to get closer. Our naturalist was delightful and informative.

Doing what: Juneau Shore Excursion: Gold Panning and Salmon Bake Combo Tour
This was a fun experience and the best tasting clam chowder and salmon I ever had. THe one issue was with us being shuttled from place to place. We were sent to eat first when it said gold panning first so we had already eaten lunch - then when we were returned to get a shuttle to pan we ( 4 of us) were put on a shuttle with everyone else who was headed to the salmon bake- so I think that end of things could use some coordination. We waited for quite a while.

Saw many whales (and calves) considering it was towards the end of the whale watching season. Tour was informative and our onboard guide Ryan was very knowledgeable. Mendenhall Glacier was mind blowing and we had the added bonus of witnessing two mother bears feeding their cubs was fresh salmon they caught in the stream right in front of us. A very good tour.

We enjoyed our tour very much. Spent plenty of time whale-watching and our on-board "naturalist" was informative. The bus drivers were also informative but perhaps need some new material because they seemed to be reciting a script. Everyone we worked with was very friendly. Only complaint was that it was difficult to figure out the starting point of the tour. There were so many people crowding the area with the sign we could not tell if we were in the right place which created some stress. Overall, good tour and I would use this company again.
