Doing what: Ketchikan Shore Excursion: 30 Minute Seaplane Spectacular Tour
Mark, our pilot was awesome. He landed on a lake and let us view a log cabin built alone in the wilderness. Amazing vistas. Saw some mountain goats but no eagles. I'd always take the later flights to increase the chances that the fog may lift somewhat. Fate bumped us to a later flight and it was to our advantage. I'd recommend it to anyone and already recommended it to anyone I've spoken to.

Doing what: Ketchikan Shore Excursion: Lighthouses, Totems and Eagles Cruise
A picture perfect day spent touring the waters of Ketchikan with a fun and knowledgeable team of guides. The salmon dip lives up to its rep and the yummy snacks hit the spot during our boat ride. This was a great trip and worth the money, The ride from the cruise port takes you through Ketchikan and out to the working part of the island. We saw eagles as soon as stepped on board as they were hanging out right in logger town. More eagles along the bay, a nice view of the totems at the Saxman village, great view of the little lighthouse and a bonus- some up close sightings of seals and sea lions catching their breakfast in the kelp beds. This is a fantastic tour when you have a limited time in port- five stars all the way! NOTE- the gangway is long and very steep. I would not recommend it for people with wheelchairs or walkers.

Doing what: Ketchikan Shore Excursion: Lighthouses, Totems and Eagles Cruise
This cruise was wonderful we were blessed with good weather but the boat and its crew were first class, knowledgeable and accommodating to all of us on board. Captain Rob and his dog Princess were perfect hosts and we saw many eagles and got some wonderful photographs. Well worth the trip, highly recommend it.

Doing what: Ketchikan Shore Excursion: Eagle Island Sea Kayaking
We had a great time. The water is perfectly calm and beautiful. The scenery is great. We were able to see quite a few starfish and a couple of eagles. We didn't see as much wildlife as we were hoping. But our guide was great. Even our 9 year old was able to paddle and have a good time. If possible I would recommend booking at low tide so that more of the underwater life is visible.

An awesome experience filled with majestic views of the misty fjords, grand lush forests and spectacular waterfalls. Our pilot guide was both charming, informative and discreet.

Doing what: Ketchikan Shore Excursion: 30 Minute Seaplane Spectacular Tour
We were lucky enough to be upgraded to the 90 minute tour to the Misty Fjords since we were the only booking for the 30 minute trip.
The people at the touring company were really great.
There was plenty of help getting in and out of the plane. A fantastic trip, and we had glorious weather as well

Doing what: Ketchikan Shore Excursion: Lighthouses, Totems and Eagles Cruise
not many eagles, one lighthouse and a few totems from the boat only. No walking. Just an average tour, nothing wonderful.

Doing what: Ketchikan Shore Excursion: Lighthouses, Totems and Eagles Cruise
From the description when I purchased, I thought this was a combination land/boat tour. The only land portion was a sparsely narrated bus trip to the dock. The boat crew was very accommodating and it was a pleasant cruise. I thought the price for this one was rather high.
