We learned about the really interesting naval history of this town -- the last port of call for the Titanic and as the place where many Irish immigrants sailed off to distant lands during the famine.

Even though it's known for the Blarney Stone, this castle was a fun experience because it's such a massive castle with great views and spectacular gardens. We really got a chance to take our time here.

We stopped to see this demonstration by a shepard. He explained the different kinds of sheep in Ireland. It was really amazing to see his demonstration by his "award-winning" sheep dogs -- watching them herd sheep and respond to a variety of signals.

The castle was beautiful and untouched. It really takes you back to another time and place. Kissing the stone was one of the coolest things I've ever done.
