The iconic Thai images of turquoise sea and craggy limestone islands you see on postcards were most likely shot here in lovely Phang Nga Bay.

The bay is one of Thailand’s most spectacular beach escapes, and the limestone towers and white-sand beaches of the island Kohn Phing Kan appeared in the James Bond movie The Man with the Golden Gun.

This beautiful area is protected by the Ao Phang Nga Marine National Park, best explored by boat or sea kayak.

"James Bond island" tours leave from the town of Phang Nga, along with excursions to sea caves, local villages and neighboring islands.
