Doing what: Kyoto and Nara Day Trip from Kyoto including Nijo Castle
Kyoto and Nara are beautiful places, worth a visit. Nara , a peaceful park full of Deers and lovely gardens too. Lunch was also well served and delicious. We even had enough time to have a coffee and sweets. Well organised and excellent guide.

Doing what: Kyoto and Nara Day Trip from Kyoto including Nijo Castle
This was a basic tour of three sites in Kyoto and two in Nara, but it gave us a quick overview of the major attractions in those cities. We then continued to explore on our own.

Nara was worthwhile but found Kyoto lacking in variety.

Good tour, afternoon Nara portion had guide that was hard to understand unfortunately. Some mix up near the end of moving people from bus to bus depending on what hotel they finish at -- confused people. Good lunch choice however thought should be given to having either separate lunch for full day people as they only had less than 45 minutes, to line up, eat, bathroom break and run for bus.

Doing what: Kyoto and Nara Day Trip from Kyoto including Nijo Castle
The tour was very interesting. The guide was very personable and informative. She also was willing to share her insight into local culture, often with great humor. The bus was very comfortable. The food at the restaurant for the all day trip was average, nothing special. The best part was the ice cream for dessert. My only complaint is the guide moved very fast for such a large group. The last folks off the bus had a hard time keeping up. It was also difficult for older travelers.

We had a very informative and personable guide. It was nice to get the history behind what we were seeing and to have our questions answered. Highly recommend this tour to see Nara.

Tour was good. Bus on schedule. However due to time constraint, tour guide had to keep going with commentary while some of us stopped to take photos. Perhaps we shld have been provided ear phones so we can still listen to the guide's description of the place.

Very interesting and spectacular places. The guide was fantastic. His English name was Mitch and he went the extra mile with every single one of us. Very knowledgeable indeed, highly educated too, with one of the best English spoken in all Japan. A must do!

Doing what: Kyoto and Nara Day Trip from Kyoto including Nijo Castle
I was a little disappointed we couldn't visit the Imperial Palace (was a Saturday tour) and that the alternate sites weren't explained, because we visited one on our own beforehand. But the tour was still more informative than we found on our own.

I had a great time visiting Nara on this tour. The bus was clean, safe, and comfortable. The guide was excellent in her knowledge and very funny. The Temple and Shrine were great places to visit. One of my favorite memories is the deer that actually bow for a cookie!

Our guide for our trip to Nara was fantastic. If you happen to get Mickey ( as he says, like Mickey Mouse ) you are in for the most informative and entertaining afternoon. He knows his stuff and is very enthusiastic about his country. Great tour.

Great 1/2 day tour. Our guide, Hiro, was both informative and interesting. Well worth it to see Nara, Todaiji Temple and Deer Park.
