Had a good trip with Jim. He was informative, easy-going and kept the group on track easily. Liked what he took us to see, talked about and the little walk he included.
Not much to see. The boat trip is not a cruise but it's like a shuttle boat droping people off along the way.
This tour is well worthwhile and was thoroughly enjoyable. The two tour companies involved in this trip organised everything very well. Evans and Evans made the train journey very easy and we somehow ended up with first class train tickets and Mountain Goat the tour company who met us when we got off the train were fantastic. We had an awesome guide and the whole day was fantastic. Definitely recommend this tour as the scenary and itinerary are fantastic. Beatrix Potter's house a must for anyone interested in Peter Rabbit.
Very disappointed paid for a three day tour and only received 1 day as the tour operator forgot to pick me up on two occasions I will not be using your service again
Dear Sirs,
I have already sent you a separate E-Mail to which I didn't get a reply. I stated that the trip was fine apart from the fact that we didn't get our lake cruise, the lake was too windy apparently. This was approx my twentieth trip with Viator and like all the others very good, Obviously you can't be blamed for them cancelling a lake cruise.
Sincerely,
Michael Mahon.
I went on the trip with my mother and she really enjoyed it. Our guide was really nice and informative. We didn't go into Hilltop but the garden was good enough for me, and mum went into the Beatrix Potter Gallery in the village we stopped in. It is a good way to see a bit more of the Lake District if you don't have a car.
Tour most enjoyable and the guide very informative
We did think the guide could have a made good use of a microphone.
Thank you
Our tour guide Bob was very pleasant and knowledgeable. We appreciated his willingness to answer questions and share information.
Going to Hawkshead and seeing Hill Top Farm was a good experience. However, We felt the boat trip on Coniston Lake was a waste of time since people were crowded onto the boat and the acoustics were so poor. We could not hear a word the boat guide was saying. That was a disappointment. The audio equipment needs to be improved and fewer people should be on the boat.
On the whole I think the only thing really provided was transportation to the sites.
This was an easy way to see the Lake District for a quick, first glance. We know we want to go back now! The person who met us at the Easton Station and gave us our tickets was very informative, and the guide on the tour (we went in a mini bus because there was overflow ) was very informative on the area and very entertaining. I would give this trip an A.
Fantastic! Every aspect of this trip was great - from journey, boat trip to tour around Beatrix Potter's home - brill! Would definitely recommend this. Seemed to fit a myriad of wonders in to the few hours given - but didn't feel at all rushed! Super!
This was a very enjoyable tour, despite the early rain. The information given by our driver was really interesting, and helpful for those of us who had only that one day in the Lake District. The visit to Hill Top Cottage was diminished somewhat by the large crowd. I would recommend the tour to potential visitors to the UK.
Loved the tour, guide was super, very informative, tour . Vans need air condtioning and decent sound systems, people at the back could not hear or get fresh air.
