Doing what: Ten Lakes Spectacular to Borrowdale, Buttermere and Beyond
My husband and I took this tour on our 9th wedding anniversary and thoroughly enjoyed every minute of the breathtaking mountain views and lake cruise. Our tour guide was knowlegleable, personable, and went out of his way to make our tour enjoyable. I would recommend this tour to anyone in a heartbeat!

Doing what: Ten Lakes Spectacular to Borrowdale, Buttermere and Beyond
We have taken many Viator tours in the past, all of which we have enjoyed, but this one would be one of the very best. The tour guide, Peter Walker, was exceptional because of his extensive knowledge of the area and his personal approach to ensure we enjoyed every minute. The day was long but it was worth getting up very early for the three hour plus train trip to Windermere where Peter was waiting right outside the station. We highly recommend this tour. Doing what: Lake District Rail Day Trip from London
We were confused about the itinerary of the tour, thinking we would see Wordsworth's.

An excellent trip with a very informative guide. An excellent driver. Fantastic scenery - just a shame about the weather! Thank you.

Doing what: Ten Lakes Spectacular to Borrowdale, Buttermere and Beyond
The ideal way to see the area, good informed information from the driver, photographers considered e.g. stopping at beauty spots.

Doing what: Lake District Rail Day Trip from London
The tour was well worthwhile. Amazing scenery and Beatrix Potters House is a must see. Tour bus could have had better air con and an integrated sound system and guide could have been more enthusiastic

Doing what: 3-Day Lake District High Adventure
I wish I could have rated the tour and the hotel separately. The hotel was wonderful. The staff was very polite and attentive. The food at the award-winning restaurant inside the hotel was top notch.
The tour was a waste of time. We did not even stop at The Roman Fort, which was what we were looking forward to the most and the reason we took this tour (this even makes me angry when I think about it). WE COULD NOT EVEN SEE IT FROM A DISTANCE BECAUSE OF THE FOG. We were running behind schedule and the tour guide wanted to make sure we did not miss the train. The steam train ride was not very interesting. Muncaster Castle was only average. We paid the 3 GBP per person extra to go inside the castle. Only a small portion of it was opened to the public and it was not worth it. Moreover, no photos are allowed inside which makes it even more forgettable.
FYI- the reason we were running behind schedule was because the tour guide was suppose to pick us up from the train station when we arrived to go directly on the tour. However, the tour company sent us both a taxi to take us to the hotel and the tour guide. The taxi arrived first. We protested to the taxi driver and even had him drive down to the tour office and they even confirmed we were suppose to go with the taxi to the hotel. So in the meantime the tour guide along with his van full of tourists waited for us at the train station for 20 minutes while we were waiting at the hotel. Finally they had to get another taxi to drive us to the tour van.

Doing what: Beatrix Potter's Lakeland Tour
Had a good trip with Jim. He was informative, easy-going and kept the group on track easily. Liked what he took us to see, talked about and the little walk he included.

Very enjoyable even in the rain. The views we could see were fantastic.

Doing what: Ten Lakes Spectacular to Borrowdale, Buttermere and Beyond
An excellent tour with the driver giving an excellent commentary and allowing plenty of opportunity to take photographs. The weather, unfortunately, was not great but the scenery remained unsurpassed! Would like to go on the same tour again in a couple of years time.

Excellent itinerary spoiled by poor a-c in bus on very hot day. Very knowledgeable guide.

Doing what: Ten Lakes Spectacular to Borrowdale, Buttermere and Beyond
It provides you with some of the best spots which you'd never be able find yourself as first time visitor. Also the driver costantly chats about the place you are visiting. I think it was very creative and enjoyable way of touring the area..

Doing what: Ten Lakes Spectacular to Borrowdale, Buttermere and Beyond
Excellent trip, the driver and tour operator was informative and very helpful with my mum getting up and done as she has recently had surgery and the scenes were mind blowing, would not have seen so much if I was driving myself. Loved every minute and would recommend it to everyone.
