It was a beautiful day. We couldn't hear the speakers so missed out on a lot of the history. Otherwise, it was a nice cruise.
It was a very good experience. Our guide Greg was very helpful and knowledgeable to the area, and took us hard to find places. What is unexpected was that Greg who is an experienced photographer , also took a lof of photo of us with the beautiful backdrop, Lake Tahoe, which really happens to me since I am always the one who is behind the camera. It was a pleasant experience. Money well spent
The food was ok, not great. The trip is fairly long overall. The commentator was a nice touch, but his corny "schtick" got old after two hours.
The reviews on this dinner cruise had me sold on it -- but we were so disappointed!!! The "music" lasted for about 35 minutes, the drinks were no less than 8 each, and the food was absolutely pathetic. The menu sounds wonderful, but when the food came out it was clear that it was a low-budget meal to feed the masses. You were set at tables with strangers like on a cruise ship and the food came out in disorganized courses. Shrimp cocktail was luke warm and not fresh at all. The chicken and the steak were both salty and luke warm. The ravioli wasn't bad, but how do you mess up ravioli After dinner the boat turned around and we headed back in to dock. I would not recommend this cruise at all.
My husband and I fully enoyed our cruise on the M.S. Dixie II. It provided a breathtaking and memorable experience.
The trip was a big let down. Only sailing across the lake to the bay. You need a cruise around the lake telling about all the lake history. No recommendations from me to anyone for this cruise.
many recommendations for Viator who horned tickets the second day. many thanks
It was a good trip just because of the scenery. However, the food was not that good. Also there was a private party of 30 and the rest of the people have not been notified that a section will be closed just for them so whenever someone tried to sit in that section the people in that party would tell us to leave and personally I did not appreciate that. I felt very uncomfortable after that and did not enjoy the rest of the trip.
This is a beautiful, well planned cruise - with a lovely dinner and good music during the 3 1/2 hour trip. Views are wonderful and we thoroughly enjoyed this beautiful evening on Lake Tahoe.
Most enjoyable cruise - with wonderful dinner.
Would recommend to anyone visiting South Lake Tahoe area.
I was disappointed that the dress code was so casual. Instead of a dinner crusie I felt I was on a boat ride. Food was good.
Our guide, Robin was v. knowlegeable of the area and took us to many beautiful locations that we would not have otherwise seen. I loved the tour and would highly recommend it to anyone in the Tahoe area.
My husband and I had a wonderful time. The weather was beautiful and everyone who serviced us on the M.S. Dixie II were friendly and helpful. The entertainment was a nice surprise. Definitely worth going!
