We took the Grand Canyon South Rim Bus Tour with Helicopter Option.
It was the most exhilarating experience ever. I would strongly recommend the helicopter option, as you really do see far more of the Canyon than just going to the south rim. A very long day in the bus but very much worth every cent.

On Nov.28th, we took this tour to the Gran Canyon. We were very impressed with the Maverick company who arranged the whole expereince. They are organized, informative and punctual. The pilots charlie and Austin took us on a smooth flight in a solid looking plane to the canyon and highlighted some interesting areas. We could also go to the cockpit for a closer look. The views are amazing because you are so close. We passed over Hoover Dam and the west rim before arriving at the south rim.
Bruce was our bus driver and ground tour host. He was so informative and hilarious!! He does what he does exceptionally well. We stopped at two different viewing areas. The first was at the lodge where there were breathtaking views you could view while eating your box lunch. After about an hour and a quarter we boarded and drove to Mather Point. This area was incredible and we were in awe at what we saw. We had about an hour and a half here. There was lots of time to walk and enjoy the canyon. People who take the helicopter ride miss out on this part of the ground tour. We were picked up at 8:20am from our hotel and arrived back at 3:44pm. It is not too long a day and certainly beats riding in a bus for 6 hrs! it was a first trip to the Canyon for both us and one we wont soon forget!!!

The trip was almost perfect. Be at the Grand Canyon South Rim in 45 min. flight from Las Vegas is really nice. Also the tour guide was good and give us a lot of information about the Canyon and its history.

The grand canyon south rim air and ground tour is a must go.Everything starting from the pick up from our hotel all the way to the drop off at our hotel was really professional and well handled. Our time at the 2 grand canyon lookout points was perfect. Not to long and not to short(about 45 min. to an hour at each point). We got plenty of beautiful pictures also.My wife is Japanese so we took the Japanese guided tour and our guide Zippy was full of knowledge and just the most wonderful person you could meet. The local tour company was vision air. Thanks for the memory of a life time.If you are thinking about booking this tour, stop thinking this is the grand canyon tour to go on.Highly Recommend this tour!!!!!

We went on the South Rim tour with the helicopter upgrade. It was a comfortable and scenic ride to the South Rim. The helicopter upgrade was absolutely breathtaking. We also enjoyed our free time to explore the views at Bright Angel. I recommend this tour to anyone who enjoys traveling in style to the beautiful Grand Canyon South Rim

- Bus driver was on time at the hotel & he was very friendly. - When we checked in at the airport office, the workers were very helpful & were able to get my wife and I a window seat on the better side of the plane to see Hoover Dam clearly. Recommendation: ask for window seat on plane-entrance side because you can see the Hoover Dam very good on this side, at least on this trip. - Views from plane from airport all the way to the Grand Canyon South Rim were amazing. Take lots of photos from the plane windows as my digital photos turned out amazing! - Bus tour guide was very friendly and had lots of great information about Grand Canyon! - Lunch buffet was fair, the least favorite of this entire trip experience.

We thoroughly enjoyed the trip to the Grand Canyon South Rim. The only problem the we had was the length of time that was allowed to view the canyon and the IMAX show. Although we do understand the time constraints for the this trip to get back to Las Vegas in the same day. Another problem that we had on this trip, that was not any fault of this company, was the power outage that arose from the thunderstorm. We feel that the park should have a generator set up for these problems. We were more than satisfied with the safety of the bus driver that we had along with the roominess of the bus seats. We were more than satisfied with the set up of this tour. Thank you.

This is a nice trip, well worth the price. The only reason why I gave the four stars is that it feels extremely rushed where it matters the most, at the GC site. They should spend less time peddling the DVD and check-in at the airport and more time, lets say three hours, at the Grand Canyon South Rim.

Long, long day on the bus for less than two hours at Grand Canyon South Rim. IMAX interesting but not breathtaking. Lunch less than average. It is a bus tour.

The journey was far too long: 5 hours each way between LV and Grand Canyon South Rim. It is too demanding for the body.

I did the Grand Canyon South Rim Airplane and Ground Tour and I felt ripped off, as they flew us over the Grand Canyon and brought us back without landing. We went up to the main desk asking why we didn't land, and why they didn't tell us in the air that we weren't going to land. They said it was too foggy to land. There was a group of us who said we wanted to land and see the Grand Canyon, that's why we booked it. The lady who works there said she would try to put us on another plane. They did put us on another plane, and we were able to land this time. It didn't seem to be foggy and there were only 6 inches of snow on the ground. The bus trip was really good, the view were so beautiful. It was a good trip, but not letting us know they weren't going to land on the first trip out did ruin it to a point.
