The trip was fantastic, well organised from start to finish, considering the amount of people going that day. It would have been nice to have got the coach and not have a stop at the office in Las Vegas but guess it must be difficult dealing with so many people at once. The Hoover Dam was absolutely amazing and the Grand Canyon was awesome. It was a reason we booked to go to Las Vegas as it had become our dream to go there. Wonderful experience and will tell others about it. Thank you....

We loved the trip!! Our driver, Walter, was such a treat, the helicoptor ride was spectacular, and although I was terrified, I did the Skywalk-yikes. We had never been to the Grand Canyon or Hoover Dam and are now thrilled that we booked this tour.

Doing what: Ultimate Hoover Dam Tour

My daughter and I greatly enjoyed and appreciated this tour. We felt like we saw and learned quite a bit about the Hoover Dam and Lake Mead. The scenery was beautiful, and we had a quaint lunch in a small local restaurant in Boulder. The only reason I gave this tour a 4 out of 5, was because of the tour leader. He was strange, talked A LOT about his personal life, which I will not get specific with because I don't think he deserves to be fired, but I can tell you WE ALL KNOW his ENTIRE life story. It was humorous, but weird. Left a lot to talk about later on. I would recommend this trip highly!

The actual Grand Canyon trip was fantastic, but the only thing for us that seemed to slow it all down was that we were picked up in one bus and transferred to a depot where we waited (with coffee and a danish pastry) for quite a while then were put on to another bus and then a final bus for the last half hour of the journey. Same for return journey. Major plus points: fantastic bus driver, amazing stop at the Hoover Dam, great lunch at the Grand Canyon and loads to do there. Amazing photo opportunities so all in all for the price we paid we would certainly recommend this trip.

Walter our tour guide was UNBELIEVEABLE, kept us entertained the entire way to the Grand Canyon with some great information on Las Vegas and the dessert. Loved the information on the Joshua tree and so glad I recorded that part. I would have liked a little longer at Hoover Dam, but completely understand the time frame. I had thought at the beginning that we were going to be too long at the Grand Canyon, but I was wrong our time went so fast. For anyone wishing to see the Grand Canyon, this is the tour for them. I am planning another visit to Las Vegas again very soon and I will for sure book my tours with Viator!

Doing what: Hoover Dam Tour With Lake Mead Cruise

Good day. Hoover Dam was very interesting and Lake Mead was peaceful. Queuing to get on the boat was a bit painful but this did not spoil the trip. John our driver was very entertaining and humourous

The trip was really great but could have been a little better. I chose Viator because of some of the online reviews. The pickup arrangements were time-consuming but very efficient considering how many people were scheduled that morning and where our hotels were scatterd. Our driver Thomas was very friendly and knowledgeable- keeping us informed of where we were and where we were going to be. He was an excellent driver. The dissappointing thing was that we were not allowed to go down into or across the Hoover Dam. Just a photo op from the bridge. A friend that was with me told me that 10 years ago he was able to actually go into the dam and see the turbines and the view of the lake from the top of the dam. Since that was not even mentioned I assumed it was no longer available. There were several trips to the dam offered along the strip and I just assumed that they all would offer the same things. However when I returned home another friend who had been to the Dam just a few weeks earlier told me that his party had the opportunity to see the workings of the Dam on a different tour Company.
Still the trip was great!! the Canyon is AMAZING no matter how you get there. We had a wonderful time with great photo ops among the Hualapai Indians and the exhibits of native dwellings construction were very authentic. Many of the Indians who were there were dressed in colorful native clothing and all were very polite and our party was ever mindful of their culture and heritage. The tour was great in arranging the shuttles to each of the three areas where we could come and go whenever we wanted. Lunch at Guano Point was very good. The Hualapie Market was a little dissappointing because only 3 merchants were offering "Native jewelry and crafts" . The gift shops were busy places and unfortunately almost all of the items offered were very commercial. I mean really - fleece blankets! I would have paid a good price for a native blanket or pottery made on the spot.

Doing what: Hoot and Hoover Dam Tour

Very nice, well planned tour. The lunch and stop at Ethel M's was a nice addition to the Hoover Dam tour. Tour guide was very knowledgeable, but not very funny. That was the only disappointment of the entire tour.

Great experience, I personally thought the Vegas strip as too short and Hoover Dam is a little longer than expected. Limo pick up was a plus, first time for family of 5 to ride a limo

The tour was great...we did the same tour last year, but this year our bus driver drove us down to the Hoover Dam instead of just to the bypass lookout. Last year our tour included the Skywalk at Eagle Point and Guano Point. This year's tour also included a stop at the Hualapai Ranch. It was an incredibly busy day at the Canyon so there were lineups at each point and we ran out of time to enjoy everything to the fullest. We did not have time for the main gift shop. The meal was okay, but we were rushed as we waited to eat at the Ranch (they ran out of chicken at Guano Point). Our driver was very entertaining.

I traveled with my husband and grown up daughter, this was our first visit to USA. Things that impressed us: Viator left a message on our hotel phone telling us the pick up time and location. The driver turned up exactly on time. The information given at the office where we exchanged our vouchers for tickets was clear and helpful. The actual coach we went on to Hoover Dam was comfortable and the driver Anthony very knowledgeable. The Grand Canyon was breathtaking and there was plenty of time to enjoy all the different aspects. The lunch provided was jolly tasty.
Things that did not impress us: We were told we would be stopping very close to the Dam but never did. The comfort facilities at the first stop were disgusting. The fact we changed our nice coach for an old banger because the road was so bad for about half an hour was annoying, the second vehicle was stuffy and uncomfortable to say the least and we obviously had to make two journeys in it. The driver stressed that none of us should be late back to the coach because the plan was for us all to be back at our hotels by about 6pm. He made it clear that each of us was responsible for our timekeeping and it would be unfair to be late to mess up other travellers dinner/show plans - fair enough but come 6pm we were still in traffic dropping people off at different locations and we didn't get back out our hotel until 7.20pm. Finally if I want to tip I will, I don't need to be told in half a dozen different ways that a gratuity is expected, and because of this I only tipped half as much as I would have had I not been bullied into doing so.

Doing what: Ultimate Hoover Dam Tour

The tour to Hoover Dam was very interesting. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about the history of the Dam and the people who built it. The little bit of humor thrown in kept us all smiling. Our only complaint was that we had only 5 minutes to go into the gft shop. With all the lines at the cash register, we were not able to purchase the souvenir we had wanted.

Was picked up on time and tour went fine until the end. We didn't do the Hoover Dam in the beginning and were going to do it at after doing the Grand Canyon. Instead two women got to the bus an hour late from the time we were all told to meet back at the bus. So, we sped to the Hoover Dam and didn't go to the spot we were suppose to, and got a quick glimpse from the top instead. Then the driver told a lot of us that he couldn't take us back to our hotels, so we had to get dropped off at another hotel and get on a different bus. That driver wasn't letting us off at the hotel we were left off at (The Bellagio), we were staying next to it at the Cosmopolitan. Instead he let them off on a side street somewhere. Glad we stayed on bus for next stop which was suppose to be Planet Hollywood which was directly across from our hotel, instead he let them all off in from of the Cosmopolitan so we lucked out. But the Planet Hollywood people had to walk.

Once we arrived at the Canyon, it was awesome!! However, the trip there was disorganized. Lots of confusion about which bus to take. Getting mixed messages from drivers. Also, really no need for the stops along the way-were told that the prices would be better but very expensive. Would have like more time at Hoover Dam. Bus driver provided a lot of interesting info. and he was funny.

We were the last bus to leave out of the lot in the morning and as such, instead of going to the Hoover Dam first and then the Canyon, we did it the other way round.

The Canyon itself is very impressive and the road trip there was good. You are basically given around 4 hours at the Canyon which is plenty if just doing the Skywalk but, if you are doing the boat and helicopter too, you may have to move through it quickly.

The main reason that I gave this such a low rating is because though the ad clearly states that you will have a '15 minute stop from the pedestrian walkway at the Hoover Dam', we did not get this.

Our bus driver just drove through the Hoover Dam park and all you could get was a fleeting shot of the bridge and dam. No explanation was given as to why.
