Doing what: Lake Mead Dinner Cruise

I was very disappointed with parts of this trip...Good things first #1 The bus driver was excellent a very knowledgeable lady ...very professional and quite funny:) #2 The food was delisious ...Bad now #1 We thought we would get to sit up top for a bit and see some of the lake...we were ushered to the dining room..it was much too crowded ... the staff moved some of us too tables for two along the sides...the serving was very slow...It seemed as though they were overwhelmed !! We were able to go outside inbeteen servings to take apeek at the lake and when we got to the dam there were so many people lined up on the deck I could not see it, finally gave up went back inside...There were some very loud and obnoxious people ...I thought it would be a nice quiet cruise and supper...Not!! we didn't even get offered coffee before it was over. I would go again earlier in the day ...no meal...just for the cruise ..

Doing what: Lake Mead Dinner Cruise

Disasterous evening last night
went on the Lake Mead Cruise with Dinner
the coach and driver were great the cruise fine .............

the food was terrible
cool garlic bread served that was to big to eat with the soup as the soup was served in tiny tall glasses and was semi cold.
the salad when arrived was like eating cabbage with the stalks in awful
my husband and myself ordered the prime rib steak and when it arrived it was........served on a cold plate and the steak and vegetables were all cold and the steak was ordered medium to well done and came as rare in a plate of grease and cold! totally inedible and I told the waitress I would have sent the whole lot back as I did not want food poisioning! The meat was not prime rib beef!
she offered a replacement this was declined as we were last to be served and the rest of the tour had finished theirs.
dessert we were offered carrot cake or chocolate cake on advising them I could not eat this as I am diabetic I was told the chocolate cake would be good for me! ( If I want to overdose on sugar to put myself in hospital this was not for me)
asked for fruit this was ignored.
the service was chronically slow and took 2+ hours and all of it was stone cold!this to us was a waste of money. When we got back to the hotel we ordered dinner! $66+ for the evening meal we should have had.I will on my return to the UK be posting on Trip Advisor this email as no compensation was offered for what should have been a lovely evening and was a total nightmare.
Lake Mead Cruises will also be reported to the US food agency (whatever they are called for serving food poisoning on a plate)
We will not be using Viator again and would not recommend you either.

Doing what: Lake Mead Dinner Cruise

A lovely evening spent on Lake Mead. Transfer to Lake Mead was a bit tedious as we spent 45 minutes in the coach company's car park paying the fuel surcharge but the cruise and staff (and food) was first class

Doing what: Hoover Dam Tour With Lake Mead Cruise

Tour was excellent, bus driver not up to the task.
Passengers were arguing over seating, since no announcement was made by the driver. Turned the passengers into a trailer trash, fight for the
seats you occupied when the tour started.

Carlos was excellent, very knowledgeable and interesting. Next time we'll do a longer trip on the Colorado.

Doing what: Lake Mead Dinner Cruise

Beautiful food, just a shame that it was a cruise done at sunset but the boat was going around in circles at the dam at sunset so we didnt get to see the sunset and would have been nice if the cruise was adults only.

Doing what: Hoover Dam Top to Bottom by Luxury SUV with Colorado River Float

This trip was absolutely excellent. Really impressive sights both from the dam and from the river. Have to say a big thanks to Gerry our driver/guide as his commentary and knowledge of the area really made some of the facts come alive. Definately 5 star.

I took my daughter on the Lake Mead dinner cruise through Viator. Great experience. Our bus driver was amazing! Very friendly and courteous! We were picked up right at our hotel. Early in fact! I very much recommend Viator for the dinner cruise!

Doing what: Lake Mead Dinner Cruise

So pleased we booked this, a wonderful evening. Lovely food, lovely staff and so different to the Strip! Comfortable coach picked us up from the hotel, took us to check in at their office (takes 5 mins) and then drove us to Lake Mead, not far from the Strip at all. It was a shame the ferry departs at 6.30pm as we just got to the Hoover Dam when 5 minutes later the sun set. However, I really would recommend this trip :)
