A good Christmas present from my wife which unfortunately went by far too quickly. Definitely something I'd look to do again when I'm in town. Would have liked a slightly longer track though to have been able to have picked up some speed on the straights. Very friendly and encouraging instructors who made the experience more enjoyable.

Well we really enjoyed the experience. You get to drive onto the inside of the track. Even the crowd, in our case just the photographer/wife got to be there too. The pit wall was lower than we expected. When the car started up it didn't seem very loud but wow when leaving the pits. You're really strapped in tight. G force is awesome. The Viator price was the cheapest we found. Booking with flight cost $122...Booking at Richard Petty Ride Along was $109...Viator was $88. I guess a couple of more laps would have been nice. But the next step will be driving now that he has the bug!

A little disorganised to start. The tour takes about 2 hours from start to finish with slot of waiting round. But if this is what your are into it's a definite must. Pre-book your return on arrival at speedway.

A bit expensive and the track was only 1,1 mile so 5 laps are to few. However, it is awesome to drive your dream cars! Took the ride-along with a pro driver afterwards and that was an extreme thrill ride!

The rookie experience is limited to 135mph, lap average of 120mph, you can't go faster than that, regardless of what they tell you. Viator don't tell you what time of the day of booking your drive is- you need to contact Richard Petty's office. Poor service by Viator

A wonderful driving experience. This was meant to be a 2 hour all round experience but went on for 3.5 hours.In the end we were rushed through because the next group were starting.The staff were unfriendly and unhelpful and treated us like we were a nuisance.We caught a cab out to the raceway and it cost us $us120 return - that hurt. Great car ride but make sure you have plenty of time on your side.

The drive along was pretty fun, although at these speeds, 3 laps is over very very quickly. The staff and drivers are all very friendly. The drive itself was enjoyable, but felt a bit leisurely. This wasn't because we were going slow, it's just that after you've taken your first corner, you know what to expect and the rest of the drive is pretty much identical. It's around 100 and so all in all, is a decent value for money. I imagine children and huge speedway fans would enjoy it more than I did. They also offer a 5 hour programme where you can drive 18 laps yourself. I imagine this would be a lot more exciting, but because of the time involved, that will set you back around 1100.

We are locals, and I bought the ride along for my 27 yr old son's birthday. Although he said it was exhilarating, he would have liked it to be a couple laps longer for the price. Still a neat experience.
