Lined with cobblestone walkways and iron street lamps, the Paris Hotel and Casino offers a small taste of Paris in Las Vegas. With its Parisian-style shopping and restaurants, plus a 50-story tall Eiffel Tower out the front, a stay here might just be as good as the real thing.

For shopping, Paris offers a walk down the Bally's-Paris Promenade or Le Boulevard, housing French designs, small boutiques, and the latest fashions. Then there are the shows, featuring the talents of everyone from singer Barry Manilow to the hypnotist Anthony Cools.

A fun casino on the Strip. I love the French lessons in the bathrooms and they do really have great French pastries in the cafes. The casino has a nice vibe that isn't too ritzy or at all dive-y with plenty of gaming and often a good show on.

Great food and atmosphere. Had a great seat although table was cramped and the wine expensive.

1 star rating: I do not recommend this Review by Robert S, USA, November 2008
Doing what:

The driver was late. The web page shows a picture of a limo and states a sedan will pick you up. That was misleading, because we were picked up in a mini van. We could barely see anything out of its tinted windows. Basically we had ridden in a similar vehicle earlier in the day it was called a taxi. The driver drove like a mad person down the strip, slowing down for nothing, giving us the most inaccurate history of Las Vegas I have ever heard. The driver pointed out Fremont Street and the only reason I was able to see it was because we had stopped at a red light. The meal at the restaurant was preplanned with no substitutions. Also, the webpage states that drinks are optional. I assumed that was alcohol. I assumed incorrectly. I paid for the water and tea we drank at dinner. I could have done the same thing for less than half of what I paid and had a better meal for my trouble.

Practical Info

The Paris Hotel is located on the southern side of the Las Vegas strip. Just look for the 460-foot (140 m), one of the most distinct landmarks on the Vegas Strip. Sightseeing tip: The tower's observation deck has a lovely view over the city, especially at sunset.
