2 star rating: It was OK, but could have been better Review by Heather M, Canada, March 2008
Doing what: Las Vegas Power Pass

The admission to the stratosphere was discontinued, which was really disappointing. Otherwise, the admissions that I got pretty much broke even with the price of the pass.

Doing what: Las Vegas Power Pass

Las Vegas was too busy to make use of the activities provided in the pass without walking through yet another casino again. In addition, some of the timings were off, and one of the attraction we visited, Stratosphere Tower, did not honour the card, and our attempt to call the card issuing company was not answered!!

Doing what: Las Vegas Night Strip Helicopter Tour

Our trip was vey disappointing because we were both sat on the right-hand side of the helicopter and as we went up the strip everything was on the left-hand side and we therefore could not see any of the hotels.when the helicopter turned at the Stratosphere he did not return back the way we had came and once again we could not see anything on the left-hand side.We therefore wasted over £90.00 on a trip where we could not see any of the hotels along the strip. The only views that we videoed are the lights across Las Vegas and not of the strip which is what we wanted. As we had travelled from the UK to do this flight we were very disappointed and will not recommend this trip to any of our friends. Our video could be the lights over any city in the world.

Doing what: Las Vegas Night Strip Helicopter Tour

Awful experience
First, the endless waiting period. After the phone confirmation 24 hours in advance, we arrived 30 minutes before 8pm (the schedule time). There are about 20 people waiting there. We were told just wait for half an hour. Indeed, we waited one and half hours in the office. It seems they just try to sell as many as tickets without keeping the schedule time promise at all. At 9:55pm, we were told to take the van. We thought that we finally can take the tour. Indeed, we were told to get off the van to sit in a big bus to continue the waiting. Finally at 10:23pm, we got on the helicopter.
Then the real awful experience came.
There are six seat in the helicopter. The glass window is very small. Unless you sit beside the left side window (only two seats), you really CANNOT see anything beside the passengers sitting on your left. The small helicopter flied from MGM to Stratosphere. It was not flying over the stip at all. It kept about 800 yards distance from the strip. The total flying time is 12 minutes. My wife was lucky to sit at the left side window seat. The poor Germany couple on my right side did not get a chance to see anything.
I have been in Vegas for over 5 times. Honestly speaking, the view is not great in this not well designed helicopter. You even can get much better view in a commercial flight.
The whole night was spent on the waiting, only ending with such an awful experience. If you have anything better to do in the night (for sure, we have), do not take the helicopter tour.

Doing what: Las Vegas Double-Decker Bus of the Stars

We paid 10 more to get to sit on the top of the bus and everyone that was on the bus went to the top. So why pay more? Said we would go to Fremont Street, but we didn't. We didn't even go to the south of the strip. Basically we paid 50 to ride the bus to the Stratosphere and back. I could do that on the Deuces bus and only pay 2! Said we would get free tickets to the Mac King Comedy Show which was AMAZING but when all was said in done our 'free' passes ended up costing us 20. The Shania impersonator was friendly and informative, but the overall experience was nothing that they advertised or what we expected. Two big thumbs down.
