Very organized trip and 5 Star was great as was the river rafting company. I have recommended this trip to others.
A long day out with a early start but was worth every penny we paid. The coach driver was very friendly. It was nice once we got to the Grand Canyon you have around four hours free time. The only down side was you can't take camera on the skywalk so you have to pay silly prices for pics
Efficient management, colorful driver/tourguide, daring pilot, magnificent locations and a full schedule made for a very fulfilling whirlwind tour. I'm assuming the pilot was safe too but the daring part was icing on the cake. The sheer magnitude of the canyon is driven home when you see how tiny the other helicopters look against the massive canyon wall that otherwise looks like it's right nearby. The Hualapai boat driver had his own kind of hazardous job - pocket cameras everywhere and he didn't like to have his picture taken! Friendly and efficient service all around.
The destination (Grand Canyon West Rim) was 5 star, however the journey itself left a lot to be desired. Firstly, we were picked up at our hotel and then taken to the tour depot and literally "herded" into a room where Jason explained what was going to happen for the day. This was all done in English by the way. We were advised that we could upgrade to include the skywalk which would be $35 and we could pay when we got our wristbands to indicate what tour we would be on. It was all very "school excursion" style. We then went out to be grouped and pay for the upgrade which turned out to be $45 because they charge $10 per person service fee!! Felt VERY ripped off! The bus was modern, air conditioned and comfortable. Our driver, Maggie was fun, however I was extremely annoyed when she repeated everything she said in Spanish! If they are going to provide tours for non English speaking guests, then PLEASE provide a separate tour. We were warned that we had to change buses to travel along the rough section of road (about 45 minutes) but we were not prepared for the ancient, tired old bus that we boarded. We felt as though we were sardines; there was barely any leg room between seats, it was hot and extremely uncomfortable. I can understand that they don't want to take the new buses on the rough road (roadworks in progress so I assume that it will be upgraded) but it was a very unpleasant 45 minutes - both ways! When we got to the Canyon rim, it was very foggy and those of us who had helicopter flights booked were cancelled. Once again, we felt ripped off but the fog lifted around midday and we were not disappointed. Lunch was included which was okay; prepared in a very primitive kitchen / canteen but the view was second to none! This tour would be 5 star except for the points that I mentioned: a) being treated like children b) being charged an extra $10 per person for the skywalk ticket c) the primitive transportation for the last 21 miles of the trip.
It was very well organized. I would have preferred a better view of the dam and bridge. Had to hike too many steps to see it. Great driver!
wonderful trip just wish the departing and arrival times were adhered to. The tour guide was absolutely the best! He made the tour even more enjoyable!
I think they need to better organize the check in process. We had to wait 1/2 an hour on the bus just to get checked in. Then when we got close to the canyon, we had to change into another bus that was older because the new bus was not allowed to go on the dirt road? The older bus was very questionable with how it ran and its safety. I was concerned it would break down.
However, the Grand Canyon is spectacular and was something to behold. The skywalk is not for the faint of heart and I am afraid of heights but I did it!!!! It was scary but I persevered.
This is a decent trip for the money, but I wouldn't go through this particular company if I had it to do again. Views of the Grand Canyon South Rim were decent, but the dynamic colors and extremely deep canyons that the Grand Canyon is typically known for are not present here (canyon was only about 4,000 feet deep at this location as opposed to the nearly 10,000 feet deep canyons at the South Rim). The Hoover Dam photo stop offers a very good view, however, the 68-step hike up to the bridge for viewing requires a quick pace to make the trip in the allotted 15-20 minutes. The tour started on a new charter bus, but 2/3 of the way to the Canyon, we transferred to a older, smaller bus (very tight seating) which made the remainder of the ride unpleasant. We chose the SkyWalk option - not bad if you want to see the canyon floor directly under your feet, but otherwise didn't offer any better view of Eagle Point than from the ground/canyon edge. "Climbing" up to the top of Guano point offered the best view of the canyon and a view of the river. The tour ran a little longer than described (left hotel at 6:30 am and returned at 9:30 pm, about 15 hours total) and included two stops at "mom-and-pop" establishments (bathroom break/snacks/souvenirs/etc.). In short, viewing the canyon itself was worth the trip, but the "tourist hustle" trip to and from the canyon definitely left something to be desired.

The organisation once we reached the reserve was somewhat lax, the Indian show was a disaster.
Driver Maggie is the most patronizing person I've ever encountered in my years of travelling.
We were asked to switch to a very run down coach with hardly any leg room half way to Grand Canyon because she claims a short stretch of the route is under repair which could damage her coach.
Upon arrival, we are on our own without any small pointers as where we should go for our tours.
Furthermore, she threatens to leave anyone who is late returning to rendezvous for the trip back as her time is more important than ours.
Upon arrival back to Vegas, some of us was made to cross the road to get back to our hotel.
To add salt to injury, she forces us to pay $5 per head for gratuity.
I will never recommend Viator for Grand Canyon tour to anyone.
P.S. We only get to see a glimpse of the Hoover Dam on our way back.
She never offered any help to some of us who had their helicopter ride cancelled.
It's not her job nor her company's business,she said.
With such service, how can anyone trust Viator ever again!
I have to wait a total of 2 hours in the bus because of irresponsible late people. They even feel sorry for this happening.
I don't want to use this again and would not recommend to others!
It Suck, Switching From a Great Bus to a Crapy Bus was Terriable. I not only will not use your Services again I will tell everyone I know not to use your Services. Sad Sad Sad!
Changed coach so as not to damage newer model and the change over was abismal. All seats broken and a very uncomfortable ride. We were promised comfortable coaches but didnt deliver. A number of people were late getting back to the coach and the company made driver wait which meant a number of the passengers missed out on their evening shows. Very dissappointing. Driver was great. Very apologetic and tried tolift spirits. If you are told when to get back to the coach if you are late you should suffer the concequences not the rest of us!!! I would recomend the tour but not the tour guide company.
Amazing, incredible, breath-taking and fun. Our drivers, Dwayne and Buz, were the highlight of the journey.
