Doing what: Grand Canyon South Rim Bus Tour with Optional Upgrades
We thoroughly enjoyed the trip to the South Rim. It was a long day but Geoff, the driver and tour guide was excellent and it didn't feel like such a long way. He was full of information and had a great sense of humour. The tour office was efficient and the process went smoothly to get us all on the appropriate bus. The coffee was good too! The Imax movie was great (hang on to your seats!) and the Grand Canyon spectacular. The double decker bus was also comfortable. The only negative was the passengers who didn't adhere to the time frames and held us up, which meant our stops had to be shorter to make up time. Overall we had a relaxing and pleasant day with good memories and lots of photos. Our first time in the US and everyone was very helpful and friendly.

It was tiring, yet fascinating. Very kind guide, missed the bus, but the other bus driver was staying there for other group helped me to call our driver and he came back to picked up me. I am satisfy for the service, very professional. Recommended especially for first time visit Grand Canyon. ^_^

Doing what: Grand Canyon South Rim Bus Tour with Optional Upgrades
Enjoyed the Tour - very impressive scenery and good value for money. The history of the Hoover Dam was really interesting and the two stops around the Grand Canyon were very suitable for viewing. The IMAX film was very worthwhile and gave a good idea of the experience of life at the bottom of the Canyon.
Unfortunately, our Tour - on the day - was unfortunately affected by a breakdown of the coach. A replacement took nearly two hours to arrive and a long day was made even longer. Having been picked up in the morning, at 6.15 am - we did not arrive back until 24.15! The staff were courteous throughout, but the impression given was "just one of those things that happen". Overall - a good tour.

Doing what: Deluxe Grand Canyon South Rim Airplane Tour
I read all of the recent reviews, and the good reviews and bad reviews. This is NOT trip for someone who would like to go on a hike through the Grand Canyon.. this is a great trip for someone who would like to see the Grand Canyon without spending 8 hours on a bus trip from the strip. My daughter and I felt like we had adequate time to walk around, and we got back to the strip early enough to hang out at the pool, which is what we were looking for. There was a fee that was asked for when we got to the small airstrip, I don't recall how much, and tips were not asked for but appreciated. Lunch was a turkey sandwich on a croissant, potato chips, a water, and cookies. AND... bring a jacket. It is approximately 20 degrees cooler at the South Rim than it is on the strip. We had a great time, and thought the pilots an driver were professional and knowledgable. Definitely recommend it!

Doing what: Grand Canyon West Rim Air and Ground Day Trip from Las Vegas with Helicopter and Boat Ride
My friends and I had a wonderful time. The Grand Canyon was beautiful. The helicopter ride was awesome. I would do the tour again and spend more time at Guano Point. The view was spectacular there and I spent too much time in one spot. I will need to go back and walk up to the top of the point the next time that I go.

It is a VERY long bus ride to the South Rim and back, but the 2 plus hours we had to there to admire the grand canyon was definitely worth it.

Doing what: Grand Canyon South Rim Bus Tour with Optional Upgrades
I did the tour with the heli trip. The highlights of the tour were the view of Hoover dam from the bus and the view of the grand canyon from the helicopter. I also did the hiking at the grandcanyon trip, but the views were not as exciting as the heli trip. The best part in hiking was the Geo museum at grand canyon. They have the natural history of grand canyon. The tour operators were very professional. The schedules, fun and the mood was perfectly maintained. Kudos to them!!

Doing what: Grand Canyon West Rim Air and Ground Day Trip from Las Vegas with Helicopter and Boat Ride
This is the second time we've done this Grand Canyon trip. The first was 10 years ago with a different company and this trip was far better, both from the point of view of organisation and helpfulness and friendliness of the guides and other staff. We would highly recommend flying with Vegas 500. We'd also recommend doing the morning trip (although it does involve a VERY early start) as you arrive at the Grand Canyon before the day trip coaches and it's fairly quiet. By the time the afternoon trips arrive the whole place is chockablock with tourists with long queues for everything.

Doing what: Grand Canyon West Rim Air and Ground Day Trip from Las Vegas with Helicopter and Boat Ride
The Grand Canyon was amazing and the experience was out of this world however this trip was very over priced compared to how much I could purchase the same trip from Las Vegas.
Good company a shame about the prices but I live and learn.

We had a great time on this tour but would have liked it to be longer. The helicopter ride was the high-light! The staff and guides were very friendly and knowledgeable. It is a great way to "see" the Grand Canyon. Another hour or two would have been nice to be able to explore it a bit more.

Doing what: Grand Canyon South Rim Bus Tour with Optional Upgrades
Apart from the 18 hours on the bus it was brilliant to see the Grand Canyon. It was a well organised tour and I would recommend dong it. The day started with the tour company giving us a wake up call at 445 before being collected from our hotel Treasure Island at 6am. The bus ride was long but we stopped off at Hoover Dam for a quick look. You also stop on the way there and way home at Kingman McDonalds. This is both for a toilet break if required or food if really necessary. The driver also picks out things along the way which are interesting. You also get to watch movies which are age appropriate.
The only thing I could complain about was we had the chance to sit at the top of the double decker bus. This provided us with a magnificent view but as the people downstairs were cold, the heater made the upstairs completely stifling and uncomfortable. Especially on the way home.
We chose the helicopter ride. This was absolutely brilliant. Wish the pilot spoke to us about what we were seeing but you had to listen to a recorded message and at times the helicopter noise was so loud you couldn't hear the recording and missed out on things
All in all, I would do it again

Doing what: Grand Canyon South Rim Bus Tour with Optional Upgrades
I enjoyed the grand canyon, but unfortunately I had a mishap. When you arrive they encourage you to update if you want to come back sooner, so my husband and I decided to do it. My tour consisted of IMAX, which was never mentioned so I assumed it came with the west tur also. When I asked the driver about it he told me to contact the bus co.I pad an additional 36.00 for the tickets. They refused to reimburse me and said they took in consideration for the price quoted. They told everyone that they would have to pay an additional 30.00, not just us.I am going to write them a letter also.

Doing what: Grand Canyon South Rim Bus Tour with Optional Upgrades
This was one of the longest tours I have ever done , the bus pickup went smooth, we were taken to the depot were we had to join a line to checkin.
The bus took off and the first thing that concerned me was the driver saying the 2 nd bus has to follow us as its his first time taking the tour.
Another thing that surprised me was the mandatory stop each way at a McDonald's
The IMAX movie was brilliant at the Nat Geo Grand Canyon as was the brilliant views of the Grand Canyon - brilliant day visiting .
We were due back in to Las Vegas by 9 pm ish , we got to south port casino at 11.30 pm , they then needed to arrange mini busses to pick us up and take us back into Vegas . Me and another Aussie decided to get a taxi as this was late enough . I reckon this was due to the other bus . I loved the canyon but not how long it took.

I enjoyed the view of the Grand Canyon, but I think the time spent at the Hoover Dam could be a little longer.

Doing what: Grand Canyon West Rim Air and Ground Day Trip from Las Vegas with Helicopter and Boat Ride
Parts of the tour were fantastic, but the meal was a disappointment and there wasn't enough time for the whole experience. We booked a morning tour and the bus picked us up on time, but then we waited over an hour and a half at the airport for our plane to take us to the Grand Canyon. By the time we got to the canyon we had about 3 and a half hours there to do the helicopter, boat, skywalk and meal which meant everything was rushed and gave us no time to go to Guano Point on the bus, which was the best viewing point as recommended by many others. When I spoke to the pilot of our plane to the canyon asking why we were so late and asking whether the time could be extended at the end so we got the full experience we'd paid for he was completely disinterested. The queue for the skywalk was enormous which was probably standard, but there was no time allowance for this. Also, the supposed meal with the Indians was a huge disappointment, It consisted of a very watery processed chicken curry (which we doubt is traditional native fare) and an orange, which we were told to go and eat in a picnic area without an Indian in sight. All in all, although the canyon itself is fantastic and the helicopter and boat rides were brilliant, the whole experience was rushed and disappointing ... but I doubt if anyone cares as they've had their money.
