Great trip! Everything went smoothly, even the rafting! Brian was a great tour guide along the river.
Had an amazing time on this tour. Tour guide on the raft was informative and fun. The driver who took us to and from Vegas was also excellent. I left my camera in the van and with out hassle he delivered it to my hotel the next day. Just make sure you wear the right clothes because you will get VERY wet!!!
This was actually a very nice trip, even if it was very cold during the rafting part.
The helicopter flight was awesome, the raft a bit boring (since we know how to real raft ;-)
Our tour was most memorable, the guide/pilot was extremely knowledgeable and efficient. In spite of quite heavy winds we negotiated the 'white waters' !! with ease - albeit getting rather wet at times. We saw many types of birds -blue heron, double breasted cormorant, bald eagles and coots galore!! Mountain sheep and baby were a great surprise and well photographed!
having to rescue two canoeists who could not complete their trip was quite a highlight and congratulations again to our pilot, with the aid of a couple of guests.
Would recommend this trip, especially eating our lunch sitting on the sandy beach gave us a new meaning to the term 'sandwich' Well done!
The Black Canyon River float was a highlight of our Las Vegas trip. Transportation to and from our hotel to the Colorado River was easy and efficient. The time on the river was glorious, with many natural wonders to wow us. We saw bald eagles, golden eagles, peregrine falcon, blue heron, as well as several sightings of big horn sheep. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and informative. There were 11 in our group, 8 of these in their 20's. This contingent would have preferred less talk and more quiet time on the raft to savor views. I understood where they were coming from but appreciated the education nonetheless. Thanks to all at Viator for a memorable river trip.
Very nice trip with good commentary. However, the quality of the lunch left a lot to be desired. Dry and uninteresting.
This was an experience of a lifetime! Wonderful people concerned about your safety as well as you having a good time. It is definitely something to add to your bucket list!!
Excellent trip, this was the highlight of our Las Vegas stay. We were picked up promptly from our hotel as pre arranged. Our driver Jennifer was brilliant, despite the fact we were unsure if the trip was going ahead due to heavy thunderstorms which had washed out the road that lead to the canyon. Prepare to get very wet and cold, but that is to be expected while rafting. The highlight for us was climbing up through the caves to find the hidden waterfall and the short helicopter ride from the base to the top. All in all great fun and by far the best way to see the Grand Canyon!!
great trip, long day. food good but very hot, no shelter where we stopped for lunch. Maybe would have done the skywalk if had realised we were right nearby when we returned on the helicopter.had to waite a long time in heat for helicopter trip but was overall a good experience. Phones the company before we went and were very helpful and our driver was excellent. Difficult to know what and who to tip and would be best if included
This is a water borne site-seeing tour and it was awesome....the scenery was heavenly and our guide, Brian, was hilarious and professional....even though we did not go thru any rapids, still plan on getting a little wet esp. if you sit in front!!!
AWESOME TRIP! We started at the Hoover Dam and wound our way downriver to Willow Beach. Our guide Dennis B. was knowledgeable, got good droll sense of humor, and pointed out so many interesting points along the river complete with his self-deprecating commentaries. You go, Dennis! Packed lunch provided came with sandwich, chips, cookies, and water. Plus, there was enough extra water on the raft. The cold water felt just the right cooness under the dry Nevadada summer heat. But Dennis gave us plenty of opps to get into the water too! We beached twice to splash and swim. The trip was 3.5 hours of fun, water adventure, and some education. The folks I sat with were simply pleasant company! Lots of opps to take pics throughout!!!
