Comment from John Reality
As of now, the US State Department strongly recommends not traveling to Lebanon due to an increase in violence throughout the country, mostly as a result of extremist groups present in the country and an uptick in kidnappings and violence against westerners. With recent violent activity throughout the country, the government of Lebanon is unable to guarantee the safety of visitors from western countries, while the major transit hubs, such as airports border checkpoints and seaports are not always accessible when you need them.
