Doing what: Small Group Lima Discovery Walking Tour

Had a great time walking through the historic centre and learning about the history of Lima and Peru. The stop at cafe and chance to sample local foods was great because we would have not tried them otherwise. Guide was friendly and knowledgeable and open to all questions we had.

I had a private tour with Teresa, and it was very good. We walked around the centre of Lima, including a local market and I learned a lot! It was great value for the price and I would recommend. Only comment is that she flagged a cab and told him to take me to my hotel and after all I had heard about cabs in Lima, I was frankly nervous because no one knew where I was at that point.

Doing what: Islands of Lima Sightseeing Cruise

This trip was awful!!!! The boat trip was very rough. Five minutes out the guide passed out dramamine! It took two and one half hours to get to the island with the 6,000 sea lions. If you can image the worst thing you have ever smelled in your life 6,000 sea lions is worse than that. My eyes were tearing. I was choking. I was nauseated. They passed out cotton balls soaked with alcohol to hold at our noses. One other island had penguins and that was it. On the two and half hour trip back I threw up! Do not take this terrible trip!!!

The walking tour was excellent. Since I was the only one on the tour, it made things much easier. The guide was on time and very informative. Covered everything in the description and more. For the price, it is a "must do."

Doing what: Lima Market Tour and Pisco Sour Lesson

This experience was fantastic. I didn't know there is such nuance to making a Pisco Sour! This was a fantastic end to our Peru trip. SALUD!

This was fun, but here's my take: Tour description didn't exactly match. Viator's rep picked us up on time, and was profess'l and friendly. Dropped us off at port, handing us off to the actual boat tour operators. Tour was listed as 9am-1pm (approx 4hrs) but was actually 9am-2:15 door to door in Miraflores, could easily have been longer if boat ran late, people swam more, hotel was farther etc. It's really a tour to go see sea lions w/ oppty to get into water with them - that was fun but unexpected. Yes, lots of birds along the way, The boat tour operators were friendly and knew what they were doing. Would definitely recommend for nature lovers, boat trip fans, and those with true 1/2 day free. Also, 3 people on our boat ride got seasick even with medicine, so word of warning on that would be good. Again, enjoyed this for sure - just wasn't sure what we were exactly in for. Guests could probably save money by showing up to Callao directly at the booth for 10am ride, but transfer service is good for not having to deal with how to get a taxi back from Callao once done.

Teresa Navarro was my guide and an excellent one. I was the only person on the tour. Since the tour was on a Sunday, traffic was lite and lots of festivities going on in the Plaza. The tour was great, fun and interesting. The Pisco Sour at Maury's afterwards was a nice ending to a highly recommended tour. Britt

Doing what: Lima Market Tour and Pisco Sour Lesson

Michael was our tour guide. We were only two people in the tour and had to call Urban Adventures, since no one showed up to meet us. Michael arrived after a while, we toured the Market and went back to a bar mixing the Pisco Sours. There was no combi ride and no drinks on top of the hotel as promised. Great company but only an OK . Britt

Doing what: Small Group Lima Discovery Walking Tour

This was the only walking tour I could find of central Lima - and I'm so glad we booked it. We were the only two attendees, and during our 'private' tour, our guide spent more than three hours giving us an overview of Lima's colonial and post-colonial history, the significance of the religious and cultural sites in the centre, and Lima's current realities. We looked into local restaurants and shops and the central market in addition to well-known sites like the San Fransico Monestary, venturing off the typical 'tourist track.' We left the tour much more knowledgeable about the city's colorful history, and well-equipped for doing further wandering on our own. Highly recommended.
