Doing what: Private Tour: Best of Lisbon by Sidecar

I was truly sad when the trip came to an end! I have rated this trip as Excellent simply because there wasn't a 6 star rating.

I have been to Lisbon several times before on business and never seen much of the city or felt it was a place to return to.
Having done the half day tour I now think Lisbon is a beautiful, old and relaxing city with great architecture, hidden gems and a place I would return to again.

From making an initial enquiry to meeting Daniel at the cruise terminal to ending the trip, it was all done with ease, professionalism and I just can't recommend his trip highly enough.

He knew all the places to show me, took me to a great coffee house (which I then went back to 3 more times with colleagues) and gave me good pointers for the rest of my week.

The bike itself was something to be seen in with several people saying to me - Wow, did you see the bike and sidecar outside - I smirked and said yes, that was my trip which I then effused about.

So if you are in doubt about a bike and sidecar trip, don't be - It was relaxing, a great way to see the city and ideal for one or two people. If you are worried about the guide and his abilities, don't be - probably one of the best I have had. If you are worried he might not turn up or be hard to book/work with, don't be - After some simple emails I found him outside my boat (early) waiting for me! "Book and go" would be my motto. Thanks Daniel.

Doing what: Lisbon Guided Walking Tour

An excellent way of being introduced to Lisbon. The guide was knowledgable and seemed to be able to answer any question we threw at her. Highly recommended

Doing what: Lisbon City Sightseeing Tour

First I have to gripe about other Viator reviewers: Please write more than just "it was excellent" as this tells me
nothing about the tour. Please please please write details, be more descriptive for heavens sake. ***This was a nice orientation of Lisbon. I think it toured around letting you see some of the major monuments, can't exactly remember since I did a tour everyday. Definitely took us to some coach museum, I loved that it took us to Belem to see both the tower and the exploration monument (my two favorite things but didn't have enough time for each) but was still a surprise as I did not know we were headed there. I paid 5 euro for the tower and sprinted up all the way to top and took some pictures really quick and then ran back down to make the bus. For the monument there is a huge globe in front but too many bozos blocking u from taking a clean shot. Also took you to some huge church where Vasco Da Gama is buried. Then took you to some old art of town that was awesome cuz u walk up this cobbled stone road and see tons of restaurants, some are Fado, and end up in a nice souvenir shop that sells tons of different things I wanted to buy it all, plus you get to taste some wine there and buy bottles if you like. The only reason I didn't buy the wine is because I knew I was being dropped off in the city not at my hotel. The tour guide spoke maybe 4-5 languages, too many different languages were accommodated, throw out the italians haha.

Doing what: Lisbon City Sightseeing Tour

This was the most disappointing excursion of the entire trip. The tour, sold as "in English" certainly was...and in Spanish...and in Portugese...and in German. Nothing against multi-lingual tours, but you get rushed, very limited info in each language and that's not how it was sold. The guide was on her cell phone with a friend, laughing, for part of the tour and ran ahead of the group at every stop. At one stop she passed out ear pieces and receivers, only to later announce she didn't have her microphone with her, so we schlepped them for nothing. As usual, it depends on the tour guide, and this one was abysmal.

Doing what: Lisbon City Sightseeing Tour

The tour is good: very informative and interesting. Exellent guide. Comfortable bus.
Unfortunatly, a lot of miscommunication. I was told that they would pick me up at 2:00p.m. from my hotel, but when I called them at the time I was told that they don't pick up from this hotel and Joana said she never told me about pick up. Nice, is'n it?
It is better to book this tour directly from the operator, not through two middlemen.
Sorry, Viator.

Great trip. Lisbon sightseeing was an excellent overview to help determine where you would like to spend more time. Sintra and Estoril drive excellent.

The overall tour was good. It would have been nice to know that it was split in 2 parts and had a long delay until the afternoon segment began. The guides were excellent, but the morning was presented in too many languages.

Doing what: Lisbon City Sightseeing Tour

Not impressed. The trip consisted of a coach full of different nationalities. It said English guide. The English came third after the Portuguese and German. The poor French had to wait a long time. OK for getting your bearings around the city.

Great tour and they picked us up at our hotel and dropped us off there also. Good narration by guide.

I booked this tour for myself and a friend visiting from the US. How disappointed we were. The morning tour was in 3 languages, and ended rather abruptley at 12:30pm, when we were left for two hours before joining a new tour with new guide and driver. After a roundabout drive we finally arrived in Sintra before Cascais, Estoril, Cabo as stated in the Itinerary. We went to a different palace as was stated which was a disappointment, and then we were informed that we would be picked up at 4:45pm for the rest of the tour. The afternoon tour was in 4 languages, and we had to listen very carefully to catch the short English version. As we had to be back at our hotel for a special dinner, we had to incur the cost of 35 Euros to take a taxi back to Lisbon, as no way would we have been back between 5-6pm as again stated in the itinerary. The whole day was very badly disorganised, and it should be made very clear that the tour is in two parts. We would have much preferred the whole day Sintra tour had we known. Having taken many city tours in other countries this is the first one I have not enjoyed.

Doing what: Lisbon City Sightseeing Tour

Interesting overview of Lisbon. My favorite site was the Carriage Museum. Wish we could of had a little more time there. Overall good tour.

Mr. H

This was a great way to see the city of Lisbon and Sintra. Our tour guide had to translate in 3 languages which made the waiting a bit long and tiresome. She was very friendly and knowledgeable but seemed rushed and out of breath.

The personalized tour by Ms. Cristina Brito was remarkably impressive even though there was a little drizzle which eventually tapered off. Inspite of being a Sunday and the usual places being closed, we had the luck of seeing a 1920's movie filming set, an opportune religious celebration procession and a taste of good sushi since the tapas restaurants were closed. We also had a conversation with a NATO guard on duty and of course picture taking. The elevator building in the center of town was a unique experience.

The tour was enjoyable and the tour guide was very accommodating, we had a taste of the Estoril area and casino which we could have missed if not for the guide.
