'Rick' our tour guide was absolutely great ... pleasant, helpful, and knowledgeable. The small group of 6 encouraged communication and friendship. The tour plan gave us a wonderful glimpse of Portugal in 3 totally different views. Viator knows what it is doing and I would take any tour they provide. This was our third. Perfect!

One of the best tours in Portugal. Well worth the price.

Doing what: Private Tour: Best of Lisbon by Sidecar

I was truly sad when the trip came to an end! I have rated this trip as Excellent simply because there wasn't a 6 star rating.

I have been to Lisbon several times before on business and never seen much of the city or felt it was a place to return to.
Having done the half day tour I now think Lisbon is a beautiful, old and relaxing city with great architecture, hidden gems and a place I would return to again.

From making an initial enquiry to meeting Daniel at the cruise terminal to ending the trip, it was all done with ease, professionalism and I just can't recommend his trip highly enough.

He knew all the places to show me, took me to a great coffee house (which I then went back to 3 more times with colleagues) and gave me good pointers for the rest of my week.

The bike itself was something to be seen in with several people saying to me - Wow, did you see the bike and sidecar outside - I smirked and said yes, that was my trip which I then effused about.

So if you are in doubt about a bike and sidecar trip, don't be - It was relaxing, a great way to see the city and ideal for one or two people. If you are worried about the guide and his abilities, don't be - probably one of the best I have had. If you are worried he might not turn up or be hard to book/work with, don't be - After some simple emails I found him outside my boat (early) waiting for me! "Book and go" would be my motto. Thanks Daniel.

Doing what: Lisbon Guided Walking Tour

An excellent way of being introduced to Lisbon. The guide was knowledgable and seemed to be able to answer any question we threw at her. Highly recommended

An interesting insight into the "real" Lisbon. We were shown the streets people live in, shop in and work in rather than the "tourist" Lisbon. Suggest this tour coupled with a walking tour of the Lisbon "Tourist" sights is a great combination

An enjoyable tour taking in Sintra Palace and a good helping of Portuguese countryside and coast line.

Doing what: Lisbon River Sightseeing Cruise

Not a great deal to see on the river - two excellent bridges and an interesting view of Lisbon from the river. The commentary giving us information on what we were looking at was poor.

The most educational and enjoyable tour that I have been on to date. Our guide Paolo was both knowledgable and cordial and took the time to fully explain the origins and cultural significance of the Portuguese foods and beverages that we sampled on our tour. The exercise was welcome too! Highly recommend this tour.

The tour went to some places tourists don't normally see, but some of them weren't worth seeing. The food tastings were good. I particularly enjoyed the ferry ride across the river for a tasting of seafood and green wine.

Very nice, intimate and price-worthy trip to get the see some beautiful parts of Lisbon that wouldn't have been visited otherwise. Our trip leader was great.

Doing what: Fatima Half-Day Trip from Lisbon

First I have to gripe about other Viator reviewers: Please write more than just "it was excellent" as this tells me
nothing about the tour. Please please please write details, be more descriptive for heavens sake... *Second* Viator can be absolutely WRONG on meeting point details. I almost missed this trip cuz they were wrong as to where to meet, it's not in the square. It's like one block up from the arch to the right at the Yellow Bus company with NO historic Red Tram or whatever. Viator u suuck! The only thing that saved my @ss was that there was a tourism office in the square and they told me where to go with seconds to spare. Even the number to call had nobody to pick up. GRRRR! *** Now then, we went to Fatima 2 days before the big anniversay/holiday they celebrate with a million people. We lucked out, we saw big pilgrim groups, hikers, kneelers, all without the big crowd effect. The place is massive like the Vatican, but the Basilica is not as big but still very impressive, architecture, views, etc. You basically are given free time to go explore, so I just did the basillica, mass area, saw the candle fire area and then went straight to town for shopping and eats. Shopped at both the big square and where they are mixed in with the cafes, one shop i stopped at a young woman was so nice rounding down the prices of everything I asked about without even haggling. Well worth the trip.

Doing what: Lisbon Airport Shared Arrival Transfer

First I have to gripe about other Viator reviewers: Please write more than just "it was excellent" as this tells me
nothing about the tour. Please please please write details of what made it good and bad. *Second* Viator can be absolutely WRONG on meeting point details. - Fatima Half-Day Trip from Lisbon, read my review. This airport transfer is cheap, prob cuz the airport is so damn close the inner city. They are working on a metro stop, would have been there sooner if cabbies didn't strike about it. Did I mention this is pretty cheap, I took an early flight 5am, this guy didn't help with my luggage as much as my arrival driver. So I didn't tip him, and I usually tip BIG FAT WADS.

nothing about the tour. Please please please write details, be more descriptive for heavens sake. Paulo was the guide, meeting point is right by the big friggin statue. He can be easily missed but should have a pamplet or two in his hands. I called thinking I missed it and the operator told me to look for a guy that was tall and bald, not exactly the right description for this guy, i am not very tall and he was just a little taller than me, he is not completely bald, short hair, maybe a bald spot on top. This guide is awsome! He took me all around tasting food and drinks explaining the local produce and meats. cheese and marmalade I would say no 9 out of 10 times and this was awesome! He pointed out great stores that I later went back to for shopping before I left Lisbon. Wine, olive oil, pork. He shows you places that you would never know existed inside door with hardly any type of signs that were awesome to eat at. You walk all around and see tons of bars and restaurants he tells you about, we even went into a cool church. He walked me to an awsome scenic view where later I had to revisit for more pictures. Have to recommend this tour early so you learn about their food and drinks so that you visit the right places during your stay. i did this tour right after I landed and checked into my hotel, rushed to the metro, figured it out easily, thre's an english option and voila walk to right from the restauradores metro stop.

Doing what: Lisbon City Sightseeing Tour

First I have to gripe about other Viator reviewers: Please write more than just "it was excellent" as this tells me
nothing about the tour. Please please please write details, be more descriptive for heavens sake. ***This was a nice orientation of Lisbon. I think it toured around letting you see some of the major monuments, can't exactly remember since I did a tour everyday. Definitely took us to some coach museum, I loved that it took us to Belem to see both the tower and the exploration monument (my two favorite things but didn't have enough time for each) but was still a surprise as I did not know we were headed there. I paid 5 euro for the tower and sprinted up all the way to top and took some pictures really quick and then ran back down to make the bus. For the monument there is a huge globe in front but too many bozos blocking u from taking a clean shot. Also took you to some huge church where Vasco Da Gama is buried. Then took you to some old art of town that was awesome cuz u walk up this cobbled stone road and see tons of restaurants, some are Fado, and end up in a nice souvenir shop that sells tons of different things I wanted to buy it all, plus you get to taste some wine there and buy bottles if you like. The only reason I didn't buy the wine is because I knew I was being dropped off in the city not at my hotel. The tour guide spoke maybe 4-5 languages, too many different languages were accommodated, throw out the italians haha.
