A good day, guide coped well with wet conditions.

Doing what: 2012 London Olympics: Bike Tour of Olympic Park and East London
Very interesting tour, covering Tower Bridge, the City, the Olympic Park, the Docklands, St Paul's Cathedral and several markets, hidden quays and canals. Alec, our guide, was extremely knowledgeable, but as you are 7 hours in the saddle I recommend bringing a gel saddle cover!

Doing what: 2012 London Olympics: Bike Tour of Olympic Park and East London
Definitely worth doing but I thought we'd get more in depth information about the Olympics and the impact to London. It's really more of a London tour with a stop at the Olympic Park.

Doing what: 2012 London Olympics: Bike Tour of Olympic Park and East London
Our guides were great, but I would have preferred to have the majority of the trip away from city streets. The canals of London were cool, and the parks. Also, a drawback was we could not get too close to Olympic venue.

Doing what: 2012 London Olympics: Bike Tour of Olympic Park and East London
Honestly I was disappointed in this tour. I was under the impression (as was the people in the group) that we would be touring Olympic Park and not riding around the outside of it. The tour seemed very scattered and had no rhyme or reason. I was able to see parts of London I wouldn't have seen which is why I gave it two stars. Otherwise it was a let down.

Doing what: 2012 London Olympics: Bike Tour of Olympic Park and East London
The directions to the shop are a bit iffy, so plan ahead and map out your route before heading out in the morning. The tour itself is great, covering a ton of interesting historical sites in London, as well as the Olympic Park. Our tour guide was Alec, and he was both charming and well versed in English history. He led us through quite a few sites that were off the beaten path, and it was a fantastic experience. Be forewarned though, the ride is a bit on the technical side, leading you through back roads and canals (with no railings). Be sure that you are both comfortable on a bike and comfortable riding in city traffic before booking. You will have an excellent time if you are prepared for this, however.

Loved riding along the canal banks and especially the transformation occurring with the Olympic site. Strongly recommend the tour.

Doing what: East London Small-Group Walking Tour with Indian Lunch
I was pleased with the information given to me beforehand so I knew what to expect! Our guide was absolutely GREAT even though initially I was a little concerned as he looked SO young and also dressed as if he had just serviced his car!!! It turned out to be a joy to spend time in his company. He was informative and managed to cope well with one of our fellow tour goers who was a VERY verbal American with a long suffering wife!!!!!! We had an excellent time, well worth the money, and I would go again. He had a personal boyish charm and an in-depth knowledge about the area. The lunch was smashing, he took us to a basic place to eat, full of atmosphere and wonderful food! Give it a try, I have a flat in London and have travelled widely taking many tours and this one certainly rates with the best.
