This was a wonderful tour. It visited all the sites in London that we have heard so much about and are so magnificent. We saw the changing of the guard at Buckingham palace. Westminster Abbey and the Houses of Parliament were so impressive and the Tower of London just as impressive and crown jewels are a must see thing, out of this world. The ride on the Eye topped this tour off. The sites from the Eye are breathtaking.
The tour was fantastic from start to finish, the bus driver and tour guide were fantastic very knowledgeable and humorous with it. Got to see the changing of the guard which was fantastic, had a really great view and we got some great photographs. Would really recommend this tour if you don't have much time to spend in London and want to see everything. Thanks so much.
Great way to see a lot of sites in a short period of time. Even when we weren't able to see the changing of the guard because of the weather, the tour guide rolled with the punches and pulled out an alternative that we throughly enjoyed. Highly recommend this tour.
Skip the river tour to ensure you arrive earlier for the changing of the guard. Tour guide was very nice and informative.
Great tour overall with nice tour guide Jason. Eat something before you go so you can skip the disgusting lunch spot that they drop you off of that you pay yourself. Save your appetite for Harrod's - which was a nice experience where you'll fill up on bit sized pastries and sandwiches. We were lucky enough to see the changing of the guard. Lots of stuff in a full day. Excellent tour overall.
I loved this tour. We only had two full days to sight-see in London, and this helped us see a lot. Our tour guide (Richard) could answer any question you had about anything (the Royal family, history, etc.), and knew the best places to watch the changing of the guard. We were picked up at our hotel, and we took the Thames River cruise back to our hotel at the end of the tour since you have to get your own transportation back. The tour guide and driver are willing to bring you back to Victoria station where you could take a subway if needed.
Wow what a day! We only had 2 days in London and decided to book this tour to ensure we did see the 'big items'. Worth every penny. Our guide, Maryanne, was fantastic. So enthuastic. Yes it's a long day but it flies past. We didn't bother with the pub lunch and instead went to St Martins in the Field (you spot right near Trafalgar Sq and this church is on the corner, ask the guide for directions) and so glad we did. Excellent food and good value. Maryanne also managed to get us a great spot to view the Changing of the Guard. We chose the London Eye to end the day and there was quite a wait to get on (about an hour) but definitely worth the wait. If you don't have much time in London this is a very efficient and well spent way to see as much as possible.
Tour guide was excellent. Changing of the guard was so busy on the day we went, that he managed to salvage something for us when his first and second plans weren't going to work.
Fun experience - Paul was a great tour guide. Tower of London and Crown Jewels, St. Paul Cathedral, Changing of the Guard - all worked out well. Had nice luncheon at Walker's and day was topped off w/Tea at Harrod's. Very enjoyable day!
Despite the cold, we had a wonderful day. Very informative. Our guide took us to a great spot to witness the changing of the guard. At first it feels so outdated and unnecessary, but eventuallly you feel the whole overwhelming experience of tradition and are amazed with the whole thing. Londond Tower was made fun by the Beefeeters explanation of events. We ended up at Harrod's - it was, however, the boxing day/New Year sales. It was very busy but we had priority entry to the store and to our afternoon tea. Tea and scones - lovely. A little shopping and then a nice walk home.
I would highly recommend this tour if you are having a short stay in London as this tour covers so much. We had read mixed reviews prior to booking but we said we'd take a chance and were glad that we did. They picked us up on time from our hotel and brought us to Victoria station where we were introduced to our guide for the day. Our guide Alan especially made this trip enjoyable for us as he had a very in depth knowledge of London and he was also very entertaining. Also our bus driver, Malcolm, was very friendly and helpful. One piece of advice I would give is to try and do this tour on any day other than a Sunday as a lot of places are closed. We began the tour by visiting Westminster Abbey but couldn't go inside due to it being a Sunday, we were then brought to the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben on the hour so we could hear the chimes which was a nice touch. We then had a guided tour of the Tower of London followed by the Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace. However, it was very busy due to it being a Sunday so we were unable to get down to the front of the palace so we just seen them marching along the road, we then had a cruise along the Thames followed by lunch. Then it was off to St Paul's but again we were unable to go inside due to service. We opted for a flight on the London Eye at the end, it began raining which restricted our view. Overall really enjoyed it but try and do it during the week if possible!
The tour guide was great. She told us where to stand for best pictures of the Changing of the Guard and even told me when to change lenses on my camera for the best shots. A great view of London in one day.
This was a great tour and we saw a lot in a day. Most of the morning was spent in the bus seeing some of the sights like Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, Whitehall, Downing Street, Trafalgar Square, Prince Albert's memorial and the Victoria and Albert museum, Harrods and more. Then we went to Buckingham Palace for the changing of the guard. Our expert guide Richard told us where to stand for the best view and great pictures. After lunch it was on to St Paul's Cathedral. Amazing! The wisteria was in bloom along one wall on our way in. The stained glass, the ceilings, the dome, the crypt - all fascinating. It is a Must See. Our next stop was the Tower of London with it's gory history, the ravens and their story and of course the crown jewels. Our boat cruise on the Thames ended the day with great views of Big Ben and the London Eye.
This was a Perfect day. The London Morning Tour was very informative and we had the best tour guide ever!! To experience the changing of the guard was far more emotional than we ever expected it would be. We were within 25 feet of the guard. It was one of the best experiences of our entire trip to Europe.
Excellent guide saved the tour when the changing of the guard was canceled because it was the opening of Parliament and the Queen's speech. With Westminster and the area around the Palace blocked traffic, the guide directed the driver to a spot near Pall Mall where we exited and had a front row to the pageantry of the Queen going from the Palace to Westminster.
