It was raining the day we went on this tour so it made it rather uncomfortable. The bus driver and tour guide did their very best to get us close to the sites to prevent long wet walks. Cheers to them both. Got to see the main attractions so overall happy with this tour. Line up to get into the Tower of London was huge and took people two hours of standing in the rain to get in so it was a bonus to have skip the line passes. Our Beef Eater was only with us for a few minutes due to the rain so that was a bit of a let down. We also had people from outside our group barging in to listen to what he was saying. Maybe headsets would alleviate this issue for the paying customer.
The Tower of London was not crowded the day we visited, so the "skip the line" was really not advantageous. I can see where it would be helpful on the busier days. This is a very neat tour.
Booking through Viator was painless, easy and the best thing we could have done before traveling to London. Using the tickets once there was a breeze, and all the tour guides (especially Richard our Hop on/Hop off tour guide, and Lee the driver were awesome), along with the Beefeaters at the Tower of London were very knowledgeable and made the trip all the more worth while. I would definitely use Viator again for our next vacation!
The Thames River Sightseeing Cruise is just a way of transportation not really a tour like it describes. There is someone speaking about the sites as you go down the Thames, however, the speaker quality is so poor that you can't hear anything.
The Tower of London is nice, however, try not to go on a busy day, otherwise you will feel like cattle trying to be herded (going through each of the segments).
Overall visit the Tower of London, BUT DO NOT GET THIS PACKAGE, the River Cruise is just a way of transportation and slow at that.
The Tower of London is absolutely wonderful and a necessary day in London. We were there for 3 hours easily, and the Beefeater tour is a must! In the summertime when tourism is at a peak, I would highly recommend advance tickets and skipping the line; it would not be any fun to wait in long lines for the Tower. On the particular day we went, there was not a line, so we really didn't need to purchase in advance. But I'm glad we did. It helped us to map out our trip and commit to certain things on certain days.
We really enjoyed seeing the Tower of London. Skipping the line is a plus although the line wasn't very long when we got there. We took the "beefeater" tour which is free and not only was it informative but very entertaining as well.
Unfortunately it was pouring rain the day we had booked this, and we had to be content with sitting inside the bus instead of up top. We seriously misjudged the length of time it would take to hop on and off and take in some of the sites that we wanted. We did manage the Tower of London, at least some of it, before we had to slosh back to the bus and travel to a transfer point to catch a different bus to get to Harrods. And we had to ditch the river cruise completely, simply because we didn't have enough time. The live guides, especially Steve, were great. A one day pass is simply not sufficient, especially when the buses stop running by 6 pm, but our visit was too tight to add a second day.
I saw a lot less than I expected. There were no tours inside the monuments. We only saw the Tower of London and St. Paul's Cathedral passing on the bus. There was no traditional pub lunch, in fact there was no lunch at all. It took a lot less than 8 hours, but I paid a lot just to ride on the bus.
This day went so quick and so easy to do just hop on hop off The eye was amazing as we had such great weather, Boat trip was full of intresting guides, only hint i would give anyone hear is dont cross back over Westminster Bridge to get boat, as they make a stop right outside The Eye anyway. Tower of London really great
Wonderful and extremely interesting tour. We saw all the London "tourist" spots from the Tower of London to St. Peters Cathedral. Our tour guide, Sev, knew so many interesting facts and was truly concerned about each of us. The day ended with a ride on the London Eye. Terrific tour with an awesome guide.

Tower of London is great- you can visit everything in a few hours (3-4). If you have a chance, visit during the winter months and go to the twilight tour - great option! During the day in the afternoon you can see them do the "Word" - which is the delivering of the password to get in at night. They have lots of costumed people as well as the beefeaters to answer questions and give tours. I suggest making this part of your London adventure!
Although we enjoyed the Tower of London, this tour was unnecessary, as we had to wait in the "Skip the Line" line, which was longer than the "regular" line, to get in. I would not bother doing this again.
The Tower of London is an interesting place to visit. I recommend spending extra money at the site for the self- guided audio tour. At a normal pace, this site takes about three hours to go through.
It was a little cheaper to buy this card online and it saved about an 1hr wait at the ticket office. Well worth seeing the Tower of London. I spent around 2-3 hrs here
