Of course top of many fans’ wish lists will be the famous studios on Abbey Road where the Beatles recorded their album of the same name. You can recreate the cover on the pedestrian crossing and visit numerous other sites associated with Liverpool’s finest as you follow a magical history tour of London. But it’s not all Beatlemania. The drug busts, the bust ups, the grime and the glory of the world’s best rock artists are written all over London’s streets, from the King’s Road to Soho, from Muswell Hill to Notting Hill. Visiting the venues, hotels and studios which have themselves become household names will bring rock’n’roll’s back story alive as never before.
After a day on the streets, keep the beat alive with an evening at popular long-running musical We Will Rock You, which gets crowds worked up to a host of Queen hits. Or head for the original Hard Rock Café, where rock memorabilia is dished up with family-friendly fare.
Of course you can’t keep rock music in glass cases forever, so head to the North London district of Camden Town. It’s an area which has spawned a bewildering array of subcultures and was once home to The Clash, Bob Marley and Madness, but its gritty venues continue to produce major indie bands. You might wind up seeing the stars of tomorrow before anyone else.

Doing what: London Rock Music Tour
Mike, an American from Chicago, led the tour and did a great job. He was right on-time at the meeting place and was humorous throughout the tour. He imparted a wealth of knowledge about rockers and places and showed the tour group of about a dozen people many different sites around town as well as followup tips for more rock history touring on our own. We went with our two teenage daughters and they really enjoyed the tour too. Highly recommended.

Doing what: London Rock Legends Small Group Tour by Minivan
Our tour guide was Mike from Chicago. The highlight of course was crossing Abbey Road and taking photos. Overall tour was great - so many points of interest noting homes of Brain Epstein, Jimmy Hendrix, Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Mama Cass Also a final stop at the London Hard Rock Cafe (the very first one) and how it all started. Great tour, would highly recommend it. Mike provides many interesting stories of Rock stars.
