We stayed in Anaheim and did not realise how far from downtown LA we were to pick up the tour. The local office in Anaheim assisted and we had to change our 48 hour package as it would have cost more money to pay for this branch to take into downtown LA. Your Anahelim office updated our tickets for a full one day tour of LA, it was fantastic as it covered all the places we wanted to see and it saved us a day which we used for another activity to visit Universal Studio. Our only gripe would be that we wanted to spend more than an hour in downtown LA ie there area by the Chinese theatre and the film starts walk of fame. Otherwise the tour was great, our driver and guide was very friendly and pleasant and shared a lot of local knowledge. We would defintely recommend this tour to our family and friends.
Auckland, New Zealand
the tour was great and easy to get around
Fantastic service , great way to familiarise yourself with the city of LA. Spot On
The tour was fabulous ! Convenient and interesting . But most impressive was the friendly , curtious and helpful staff. Each driver I met was as nice as could be.
A great way to get around downtown LA, Santa Monica etc. My only wish is that the commentary was live instead of recorded.
Very good commentary was very helpful
this was a good tour seen and heard quite a lot tour went to santa monica my only regret was we didn't get off here as there were no queues of people getting on
All driver's and guides were nice and helpful! I will use this in other cities to come as well!
although we enjoyed this tour too much time was spent driving round the Movie Stars Homes considering that most of the time we were only looking at gates to their driveways,
Not enough time was spent on the Walk of Fame - we very rushed
We all felt that the sign in the tour mini bus asking for $8 to $10 per person tip for the driver was out of order, it should be down to the individuals on the tour to decide what they wanted to give.
First of all, I wasn't initially able to board because I didn't print my voucher and the driver wouldn't accept my e-voucher on my phone. He insisted that I needed to print it and sign it. Being that I took a $30 cab to get there, I asked one of the kiosks if I could get a ticket from them since I had an e-voucher and couldn't print it; he told me to report the driver to the manager because I should be able to board with the voucher. I didn't want the drama, so I went to another kiosk where he was able to print it to appease the bus driver.
I was disappointed at first that the bus tour wasn't lead by a guide, but rather was lead by a recording you listen to through headphones. As the tour went on, it was nice to have the recording because I felt like I was being told lots of cool stuff.
I did the Hollywood loop and the Santa Monica loop. Both were very cool. I waited at the stop for the downtown loop (at the walk of fame) for over 30 minutes before I gave up. There were too many hustlers and people screaming for me to deal with it for much longer. So I took a cab back to my hotel.
My two biggest disappointments were the driver not letting me on (and the kiosk telling me to get him in trouble) and the downtown bus being incredibly late.
Tips: Print your voucher (even if you don't think you need to) and go with a friend so you aren't scared of the freakshow on the walk of fame while you're waiting for the downtown route bus.
Excellent, very nice group of people
You get to see a lot for this price. Many houses of the stars and locations around the city. Bus is comfortable. Try not to wonder a lot since time is short and the driver will try to go as many places as he can.
