Reccomend this tour. You are treated like a friend rather than a paying customer. Lots of fun

Doing what: Universal Studios Hollywood and Movie Stars' Homes Tour

Great trip, both the bus tour and Universal were amazing. The home tour lasted two hours which was just enough and was a great way to see not only the houses but Hollywood in general. We had five hours at the park and considering it was a Saturday had more than enough time to do the rides before leaving. Great time, great tour, def do early in your trip as it will show you where to hang out in Hollywood.

Doing what: Universal Studios Hollywood and Movie Stars' Homes Tour

The visit to Universal Studios was great and very funny. The attractions of WaterWorld, Sherk, The Simpsons and the tour of the studios were of the best. As for the route of the famous houses was quite heavy and you do not see much, you have the feeling that they can not be any big stars. Profit after half an hour wandering around the hills, pretty boring. In short, if you recommend Universal but the visit by the house would not do.

I've used Viator while traveling in other countries before - and comparably speaking, this was horrendous. The check in process was extremely disorganized.. From the time of our arrival, we waited a good 1 hour, before our tour guide finally got on the bus and introduced himself. He started by complaining about how tired he was, having only gotten 6 hours of sleep. After his lousy, narcissistic introduction, we walked back around and looked at the Chinese Theatre (where we had been waiting all that time) again for fifteen minutes. No description, nothing. Just, "Here it is. Meet me again in 15 minutes." After that, we finally got back on the bus and began the tour. Mind you this was now about 10:05 (and we had been instructed to arrive at 8:45 am) We drove to see the Hollywood sign. Then drove by all of the stars homes. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable, but I couldn't help feeling that he was also completely full of crap. After seeing the stars homes, we drove down Rodeo Dr. Then, at 11:45, the driver/tour guide dropped us off at the Farmers market - again we were on our own. So, what was supposed to be a three-hour tour was actually more like an hour and forty minutes. After eating lunch on our own for 45 minutes, a different driver came to pick us up to return us to the Chinese Theatre. Again we waited on the hot bus for a good 20 minutes while this driver disappeared and came back having bought himself some lunch. My suggestion - buy yourself a good map of the stars homes and drive around to see them yourself!!! This will save you about $50 per person!

LA of course is a great place to catch stars in their element but so are other places. Santa Barbara is home to countless big names; Oprah, Jack Johnson, Paris HIlton, Kelly Slater, Brad Pitt has a house here as well. It's a gorgeous beach town nestled about an hour or so north of LA. They roam here free because no one is bothering them. Jack Johnson is known to be at the Farmers Market often and Kelly Slater lives amongst common folk in Montecito in an open area for everyone to see. If visiting, I recommend staying at the Sandman Inn (www.thesandmaninn.com). Really affordable and right in the thick of it, you're bound to run into someone!

Good fun and the guide was very Knowledgeable, but the tour is a bit out of date as you tend to visit homes where famous people used to live. Great visit to the hills for a better view of the Hollywood sign.

Really enjoyed our Hollywood tour from 'Stan the Man.' Friendly, informative and extremely knowledgable. We did a half day tour, as we felt that a full day would have been a bit much. Think it was a good decision, as it was very hot, although the air conditioning in the van was fine.
