Not really worth it at all. Universal Studio had gone dirt cheap on this offer. Imagine paying over USD $300 per individual on this, not much of VIP experience at all. No gift packs but a dirt cheap poncho for the Jurassic Park Ride...All the other exclusive studio visitations...don't even want to go into it at all...only happy with the tour guide Sami...others are merely a rip-off....Viator, please do not recommend this on your advertising page....this offer is really, really an outmost ripped-off to all individuals....
We were unsure about spending so much on the Universal trip, but decided in the end to do the VIP tour. We then kept saying, during the day, "We are so glad we did this. It is worth every penny". Apart from going through security, no queues all day. Welcomed at a lounge where breakfast of salmon and cream cheese bagels and other rolls, yoghurt, fruit, juice and coffee were waiting. Sat on comfortable sofas, awaiting being collected by our guide for the day, Bobby. Then taken on all the rides, entering by special entrances to avoid queue - be warned, there is no ride where you do not get sprayed with water and for Jurassic Park, you definitely need the plastic poncho they provide. Fabulous buffet lunch, in private dining room. Then, in the afternoon, taken down to the back lot and allowed to walk around the square they used in Ghostwhisperer and Back to the Future, taking photos; taken inside the sound stage they were using for a current series - Parenthood; toured the props warehouse (that was amazing). Our guide, Bobby, kept us entertained with lots of info and gossip and was great. Could not recommend highly enough. A big outlay, but well worth it.
This tour is absolutely amazing!!! The experience allows you to feel like a total VIP. My tour guide was very friendly, funny, and knows all about the movie industry!!! I would really recommend this package for any going to Universal. Lunch is provided - it is a very delicious gourmet buffet with Valet parking as well - which is awesome so that you don't have to go and search for your car at the end of the day, they will bring it right to you! My family and I will definitely go next year! I can't wait for the Harry Potter and Minion Rides to open!!!
Great place. You get a two day ticket, which you will want to take advantage of, as there are so many rides and other things to do.
It's easy to get to from Hollywood or West La on the Metro, which is a very cheap way to travel.
Personal favourite things to see are: Waterworld Show, Shrek, The Simpsons, Transformers, Jurassik Park, Haunted House, Backlot Tour, Pets on Film.
A 'must see' attraction for all ages.
Universal Studios is so overrated! Paid double the price of normal entry for this pass, only to find out you can only use it once per ride. However I didn't know this so did use it multiple times without realising and got pulled up on my third go on one of the rides. If it was strictly once per ride I would've been furious. Maybe it made a difference because we didn't go on the rides multiple times consecutively.
Anyway there only like 8 rides. Nearly all are simulated. The best was Simpsons and Transformers, both simulated. When we left the park (about 5 hours before closing) transformers had a 3 hour wait time.
Too many people let in the park for it's size. Which left long queues for food and nowhere to eat once you actually got the food as all seats were taken.
Having a Front of Line Pass is absolutely great when you only have one day to do Universal Studios. Never a discussion if we anted to wait to try the next attraction or ride. For almost all the rides there was VERY long lines so jumping these was just great. (Careful with the Jurassic Park ride - You can get VERY wet ;-) )
when we arrived it was great to get to the front of line, but when we tried to get to the front of line a few hours later we were told you could only get to front of line once............... we paid the extra £50 each (or there abouts) to do that once ! never again didnt rate the park at all, this should have been made clear before i purchased the front of line tickets, as i would have never have bought them.......not a happy person
Other than the studio tour Universal Hollywood really has little to offer. No actual roller coasters , just a few rides. the only two shows worth seeing fill up very fast. . The employees were not very accurate in their information. Which made using a wheel chair really unpleasant. They also don't seem to have a park capacity cut off.It was uncontrollably crowded. if you go to this park Do Not expect the greatness that is Universal Orlando. It was very much a let down,
Fantastic theme park. Great rides and studio tour. Must do especially if you are into theme parks and even if not. Highly recommend The Transformer ride, studio tour and Shrek. Recommend getting there early.
Ended up paying extra $50 for Front Line pass as queues were very long. Good selection of thrill rides. Recommend using any other transport than VIP. Took 2 hours to get to park due to initially being transported to depot then another bus to Knott's. Need to arrive at park open, not 2 hours later.
This is the way to go!!
We saw everything in the park without waiting in one lineup, it was awesome!
This was the highlight of my trip to Nevada/Arizona/California, awesome day.
Absolutely loved this place, not one for rides but these were on another level compared to the UK. The main reason for our trip was the Transformers ride as my husband is a huge fan and we weren't disappointed! We didn't bother with queue jump tickets and the top time we waited was about half an hour for the Simpsons. Food was reasonably priced but some places queues took ages like the coffee shop. We also got directed to Valet parking which cost us 30$, it was our first trip to America so it won't happen again! Just watch out as I realised when we were out of the car the attendant was directing cars to self and valet, could probably spot the tourists!
Looking at the two hour queues we didn't have to wait in it was worth evey cent! The Studio Tour was excellent, Shrek a real dsiappointment, long drawn out non-event. Transformers simulated ride amazingly good. Jurassic water ride surprisingly tame bar the final drop and even that was underwhelming. Simpsons was good fun and The Special Effects show so lame as to be unbelievebly bad..give it a miss. Food wasn't cheap neither were the drinks but that's what you expect with a captive audience. use preferred parking if you drive there, not necessary to do the VIP parking nor the VIP tour I reckon.
Just insider the park for 5 minutes, I already had photos with Snoopy. We also had photos with Lucy and Peppermint during the day. There are rides for all ages. My husband and I had a great time there.
Doing what: Knott's Berry Farm General Admission Ticket
This was amazing. We upgraded to VIP tickets once we got there ($300 per person) which was well worth it. We were part of a small group (around 8 people) who were lead around the park and the attractions with front of the line passes. We didn't have to queue for any rides. We were also given a buffet breakfast and gorgeous buffet lunch which was amazing. We were also taken on an exclusive tour of the studios (20 in the bus) rather than the 300 people on the regular bus tours. We were also able to walk on the sets which was very special.
