Easily the most enjoyable tour my wife and I had in our time in Egypt. And it was mainly because of our guide Adel. He is a wonderful ambassador for his country. He is quick, witty, funny, personable, intelligent and everything in between. His first-hand knowledge and stories while guiding us through Karnak and Luxor temples really enhanced our visit. Karnak Temple is easily the most amazing thing I have seen in my life. Simply astonishing. A must for anyone visiting Egypt. Thank you again, Adel!

Private tour is the way to see these temples. You gain so much more knowledge from a one on one experience and you are allowed to spend a little more time in areas that interest you

My son and I highly recommend a Nile Cruise. It's the best way to see many of the sights in a relaxing way. Traveling can be a hassle in Egypt and this tour avoided many of those. Plenty of time to relax on the boat, to swim, etc. The boat of the local contact was only about 1/4 occupied and our tour only had 4 people so we got a lot of personal attention. Food was great and we ate too much. September, though hot, is a great time to visit Egypt, i.e. many fewer people. At some places we were the only visitors. The guide was very informative, but not overbearing. We highly recommend this trip. The only thing that was a little different than expected is that it is really only 2 days of actually cruising the Nile. Two of the 4 nights are spent in port (Luxor and Aswan), but it includes tours to sights in both of those places. A 3 day cruise would spend just as much time on the river but you would have to visit key Luxor and Aswan sights on your own. There were several extras that we hadn't expected, e.g. a carriage ride in Edfu and a Felluca ride in Aswan, all covered in the package. We were very satisfied.

Combined with the west bank sites same day. Luxor and Karnak are spectacular visits! By this time, our guide was more aware of our interests and gave us a bit more of himself in the explanations, not just the recipe of history you hear around. Just being there was spectacular...

Very good guide and driver. The tour was was exactly what was described. Our guide had all the tickets ready for us at each spot and gave us sufficient time to wander around after his walkthrough guided tour of the Karnak and Luxor temples.

Just returned to Seattle and the Nile Cruise was my highlight. Mirage is a very nice boat (and there are plenty that are not nice). Can't beat the value, people and service were great!
Thank you!

the cruise boat is more of a 3 star than five, but the excursions are excellent with knowledgable and freindly personal tour guide (request Elijah - by far the best) I would recommend flying into Luxor and straight on to the cruise boat for 7 nights then fly home as the towns in egypt are dirty ,dusty full of flies and non-stop hassle. Take all the additional excursions on the cruise especially ABU SIMBEL. nothing to do in the towns in the evening and food is generally poor although 4 and 5 star hotels are of a good standard.

The crusie itself was amazing. The daily sight seeing involves a lot of walking, though most of the transportantion is air conditioned vehicles, you do travel using horse and carriage. The food and service onboard the ship is amazing, and the evening entertainment is fantastic. The only minus point is that the ship don't provide any complementry drinks. You are also expected to tip at the end of the cruise roughly 25 LE pp each day the same goes with your tour guide. Overall it is a lovely experience for both old and young.

great trip....outstanding value for money....unbelievable sites.....having more detailed trip notes and someone on the ship to give us a more comprehensive history of Egypt would have helped us to understand more about what we were looking at.....locals selling felucca trips, horse rides and taxis were a pain in the backside and the police ought to be doing more to stop them....guidance from Viator about how much to tip and to who would have been very helpful and helped to remove a constant source of worry
