Doing what: Avila and Segovia Day Trip from Madrid
Segovia is an amazing town and an absolute must do tour. The acqueduct is beautiful, however it is the town that is amazing to wander through. I would skip the lunch and simply grap something or bring a sandwhich and spend more time seeing the city, it is that pretty.

Most beautiful country, and awesome history in both the walled city and the aqueduct! Had plenty of time in Segovia to have lunch in the square and wander and explore the streets. Guide was Excellent!

Amazing sights. But like the full-day Toledo trip, no time to shop for souveniers.

Arturo is a great guide. Our 14 person group had both English and Spanish speaking members. He spent about the same time with the English as the Spanish explanation. The "gourmet" lunch was good but not outstanding.

Doing what: Avila and Segovia Day Trip from Madrid
Well organized, moved along nicely, good guides on the bus and in the towns, no b/s!
Assembly at the travel agency was a bit bizarre but not a problem. Good value, well worth it.

Doing what: Avila and Segovia Day Trip from Madrid
Avila is a very picturesque walled city with many towers in the walls. The tour walked through the city and stopped at a couple churches including the Convent of St. Teresa. Segovia is the star of the trip! It is a breathtaking city with ancient Roman aqueduct, meandering streets, great restaurants (lunch on your own gives you many options and we highly recommend it!), and the incredible Alcazar (the royal castle of Segovia and Summer home of King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella). The views of the countryside from Alcazar were stunning! Definitely a lot of walking but well worth it!

Doing what: Avila and Segovia Day Trip from Madrid
Our guide was fantastic and we saw all the best sites in both cities. It was very informative but also interesting, and we kept a nice quick pace so nobody got bored but we still had ample time to explore on our own and take photos. I recommend not doing the included lunch so you have more time to explore Segovia without the group. Overall excellent tour and I really do recommend!

The tour guide was very knowledgable and friendly. We had a great time and learned quite a bit about two very interesting medieval towns.

Doing what: Avila and Segovia Day Trip from Madrid
Excellent tour guide! I feel in Avila there was too much emphasis on the local Saint rather than exploring some of this wonderful town. Segovia, excellent. The meal room was too cramped and the air-conditioning could have lowered the temperature some what! And please emphasise the amount of walking involved in your tours!

Doing what: Avila and Segovia Day Trip from Madrid
The day trip to Avila and Segovia was fantastic. We really enjoyed both towns. My only complaint would be that you should have more time to explore the city walls in Avila and the aqueduct in Segovia. Too much time is spent talking in churches, and it gets to be a little boring after a while, hence why I only give 4/5 stars.

Nice combination of the 2 city tour. Segovia being the highlight. I would recommend it.

Fantastic tour, we did the all day tour. We had a wonderful tour guide, he was so knowledgeable about Sergovia, Avila and the history of all of Spain, we would highly recommend this all day tour. Lunch not that great, maybe better on your own. We did this tour on Sept 17th. Staff where you check in and pick up the tour not at all friendly

Our guide was very good. She was very knowledgeable. But i wish she had told us about the market in segovia. Or maybe it was already closed by the time we got there that is why she did not mention it?

Doing what: Avila and Segovia Day Trip from Madrid
Tour guide was knowledgeable and spoke English well, but lacked any warmth or people skills. Bit abrupt when I asked how old the city wall in Avila was. Why are you a tour guide if you don't want to speak to anyone? Maybe it's the great recession. We had a two hour lunch break and didn't chose to have lunch through the tour company so went on our own. We arrived at the appointed area about five minutes before we were told to, but soon realised that tour guide had already taken the group she had lunch with (those who had opted to buy lunch through the tour company) into the cathedral early and left no note or instruction at the church entrance or ticket booth. Coach was clean and comfortable.
